I roll out to Miami tonight. I will be catching the early flight to Bogota then onward to Cartagena de Indias. I will take lots of pictures of buildings for sale for those of you interested in moving. No time for the ladies, unless one smiles at me. I will be back on the 3rd of September with a trip report. jim c

I can't remember if you've been to Cartagena before, but try to check out the islands if you have time, and watch out fer them pesky mosquitos, I mean vendors.

Jim,
Good,we need more imformation about the living there situation.I think even Cali Vet is a little concerned about security in  Cali and has been traveling checking other places.
If you have the time and inclination it might be worthwhile to check out Santa Marta,Its a short flight from Cartegena.
A gringo posted on poor but happy he has lived there 20 years and loves it.Something about escaping the rat race.
I asked him for more imformation but he did not respond.
I would be very hesitent to buy before living there some time to really check out the market,maybe 6-12 months.
I'm sure you will scope out the ladies and they you.It just sounds like you will not be visiting any agencies.
