Go To mapquest.com

click on map finder

enter your street address, or a street address of interest to you

it will make a map with the address as a star,
zoom in

then look up and click on AERIAL MAP

it shows a Satellite Map, in color of the location

ITS AWESOME,,,,,

You had me all excited.   I was going to check-up on my suitor.  yes, guys you check on us and we check on you.  My Uncle always stays outside motel of suitors to see if they go to bars or hand women of the night visit their room.  Oops, sliped out.  Just know... he is "typical" uncle or older brother or ... We do try to LQQK out for family.  If you visit my sister here, you bet I be close by.  Probably sitting at same table with my meal going on your credit card.hehehe

OK, this MapQuest thing is just for large USA cities :-(
So, you won't be spying on me anytime soon. ;-)

This is what MapQuest say:

About Aerial Photo Maps
MapQuest.com has partnered with GlobeXplorer to provide online, interactive aerial photomaps for the largest metropolitan areas in the United States. Availability depends on GlobeXplorer's coverage. As GlobeXplorer introduces additional areas of coverage, MapQuest will extend this offering to its site visitors. When a new area is introduced, the Aerial Photo tab will show up above your Street Map. The Aerial Maps are created with satellite imagery, which can be anywhere from months to several years old.

jean, its not a live video satellite shot, LOL, i knew
you pinays were the jealous type sometime, boy this
would sure be scary if it were like you were describing,
hopefully your suitor does not need that type of scrutiny
Its very cool though, if you go, for example
to a usa map, click on a state, then keep enlarging,
etc, you could even see the white house from above, etc
if you knew where to look

Well, it good to know "Ememy of the State" was just a movie.  Yes MapQuest say photos are from several months to many years old.

OK, so can I tell if suitors Lamborguini sportscar is real or just a toycar on a sidewalk?hehehe

Actually my Jerry not rich man and we have friends in common so we both have better than "live video satellite."

We have friend grapevine!!!!

;-)

I think it's pretty cool.  I saw a vague aral view of my home.  I wish I could see color and zoom in closer to see the details.

I also tried Carl's (Carl & Vemila on the board) address.  I have a vague impression of the street layout.

I tried Saturn Electronics in the Philippines (where Analyn works), but I could only get points in the U.S.A.

You can see color, and I can almost see my car
parked next to my house on it, thats how clear it is.
did you zoom in, on the map, then change to the
aerial view, and then zoom in more,
you should be able to get a very close up color shot,
where you can see the trees are green, etc

Hi Outwest,

I loved it. Very cool. I've been to mapquest before, but did not notice that, and with me about to drive from Texas to Florida this weekend it came in handy at the right time.

Thanks,
Jay

Actually, I just looked at certain area's along my route. The satellite pics showed  in pretty good detail some thing's I wanted to see, like where I change Interstates etc.. I haven't done this drive before, so I wanted to see the areas first. It helped alot

I'll check out loooking at my house later tonight.
