In regards to the medical examination, all it states is that you have to have your a medical certificate of your blood type.  You can have that done at any of the local labs.  I used the one on the 3rd floor at La 14 de Calima, it's close to the emcali payment center where I go to pay the light & phone bills.  If you're not in the north, I'm sure there are plenty in the south end of town.  Last thing, you have to have a visa that has an expiration date of no less than six months.  You can also get the info at the DAS offices on Av.3a & 52nd, can't miss it.  It's the one on the corner with all the guys with the weapons around it.

I agree it's best to check with DAS directly. I thought I had everthing in order according to the gov. website when I went to renew mine in Jan. but they still sent me after more papers. They also told me don't count on the requirements being exactly the same next year.
