Oh, you have got to be kidding me! Ok, so yesterday early morning, REVENTADOR, blows. Fine ash everywhere, no biggie. It rains last night and a lot of ash gets washed away, So, I was little perplexed when there was even more ash this morning. Now last night, I heard three explosions. I figured ok, another eruption from REVENTADOR or it's just thunder. REVENTADOR is like 80 miles away so I didn't really think it was the volcano. I check this morning and wouldn't you know it, a different Volcano blew up. GUAGUA PICHINCHA volcano blew at 0156 and 0215 this morning. So, that is what I heard, last night. I thought it sounded different than thunder, but it woke me up, so I wasn't sure.
So today, it looks like everything is pretty much shut down. there aren't many vehicles running. The airport is closed. You can't go outside without getting ash all over you. People walking around with masks and everything is this dark grey color. And to top it off, another Volcano has an ash cloud over it. TUNGURAHUA may have blown too at 1249 this morning, but since there was ash from REVENTADOR and weather clouds, THE GEOPHYSICAL INSTITUTE isn't too sure.
Ah, what a vacation. Well, there's my report from thr front line. You know actually, you guys are getting this before anyone else is. I haven't seen anything on CNN or anything. Nothing but some local coverage.
Later Gators,

Guayaquil is out there by the coast and from what I understand, the women there are very beautiful. When I get time and come back to Ecuador, I'll check it out.

No, Quito is more inland.
A little update. At least the part of the city I am staying in, is without power. One internet cafe has it's own generator and apparently, so does the server. Everything is closed and it is just clogged with ash. Airport is still closed.
The stuff is still falling. Should have went to the coast when
I had a chance. LOL!
I was talking with some other people who's flights have been cancelled and they are saying that the road to Guayguail is packed with people who are trying to go there to use that airport.
Let you know if any other damn thing blows up.  LOL!
take it easy,
