I just returned from Colombia today and on my trip there the Colombian lawyers tell me I am still married to my ex.  We were married in Cali and I got a U.S. divorce.  I talked to a lawyer briefly and my ex talked to a lawyer and they both said we were still married.  I thought my U.S. divorce was legal there.  Gary Bala where are you?  Anybody have any knowledge on this?

2 divorces? I don`t think so.... Sounds like those colombian culebras you spoke to were blowing smoke up your ass, wanting more plata outta you.All you should have to do is file a fresh official copy of your divorce papers with the notaria where you got your colombian marriage license. And we all thought their gringo counterparts were bad,but those guys are slicker`n two eels makin love in a barrel of snot!
