If a permanent resident in the U.S. has a foreign national fiancee, is the K-1 process or any other type of consideration available to the permanent resident?

Until you receive your citizenship, you will not qualify to sponsor for K1. ANother alternative is to go to her country and marry her there. Then bring hre in as a wife. Waiting times on that are astronomical though and depend on what country she is in.

As a resident, they are NOT going to let you sponsor a K-1. They will let you sponsor a spouse, but she won't exactly go to the front of the line. See the INS website for the procedures. www.ins.gov

The information is for a friend of mine who was going to join me in a business.  All of a sudden, he has decided that he doesn't want to leave his girlfriend behind, and she can't get a visa.
