I just spoke to my novia in Colombia. I called her house and I was told that she is out of town for a few days but she can be reached by cell phone. A quick search of the archives and I got the prefix numbers and voila! a VERY clear connection. Technology is just great. Well, talk to you all later..............Canadian.

What prefix?  My wife is from Cali and she has been in Baranquilla the past week and I dial the same number 01157310 and the number, just as if she were in Cali!!!

My novia is in Bucaramanga. I usually dial 011-577 and the number. I had to dial 011-573-15 then the number. It's the 3-15 part that I didn't know.

The requirement of adding the 10 or 15 is pretty new, only a few months old.

Hmmm, 011-573-15 is the prefix I used to call the cellphone of the girl I was dating in Bogota.

If the service is with Bell South, you use 57-315, for all others it is 57-310. This change took effect about 2 months ago. It has nothing to do with where the phone is used.
