Long time lurker here. I am seeing poster talk about going to Cali on 3-4 day trips. Is this really worthwhile? I have plans to go in Feb or March because that is the earliest I can get the time off to go for a week or longer. Since I live about 3 hours north of Miami, I could hop down more often, but my fear is that I will just get something started and have to leave. Instead of 3 long trips in 6-8 months, could 6 short 3-4 day trips be better? I have been wanting to do this for a long time and I am really getting anxious to go!

Hey, my attiude is to go.  Get a taste.  You will have a blast. Sure in a perfect world we would all love to stay 10 days at a time.  But the working world is not letting most of us.  If your like me living in south Florida you catch the American flight down.  Your there at 7:30 and have the whole night, then Friday as well and Saturday then you get up early and catch that flight home on Sunday morning or take an extra day and come back Monday that why you can stay Saturday night dancing with your favorite Calena...Jim!

Sunday is a dead day.

The cali flight leaves at 7:30 am, at airport by 6, leave for airport by 5:30.

So check out of hotel at 5:00 pm satueday, late check out are possble for free.  Go out to dinner , movies, dancing, etc.  , return to the hotel at 3:00am, sit in the lobby for 2.5 hours , go to the airport.

This best for high priced hotels like Inter in Cali.
IF your hotel is only $25 a night then don't bother.

Inter runs $75 a night, so you save $75

3 and 4 day trips sound great. The problem I see...I live in Florida it's a full day getting there. A full day getting back. so you get 1 or 2 days.  A full 3 or 4 day trip is more like 5 or 6 with the travel time.

In my opinion longer trips are better until you meet someone special.  After you meet the woman you want to marry I would recommend more frequent but shorter trips.

Time FLIES in Colombia!!!  I just spent 26 days in Colombia and I can't believe how quickly the days passed.  Depending on which airline you travel on you get to Cali late and have to leave very early so there are two days wasted right off the bat!!!
