Do any of you remember LarryS ?

Hi all, I am visiting from the Asian board. I am an old participant here at PL and still stop by occaisionally. Hoda and some of you may remember me from the old days.

Anyhow, I just wanted to ask if any of you remember a poster by the handle of LarryS. He made some great posts about the need to take a personal assessment, and other Dr. Laura-isms. He posted mainly here on the Latin board, back in '98 and '99 (before archiving).

Do any of you old-hands know what happened to him ?

Tim,
I think you may be talking about Larry Sawyer.His wife is Ingrid.I think they married around 1999.They had a child who would now be 1 year + ,a daughter.No stepchildren.
He lives somewhere in the New England area.
We were going to hook up in Cali last Christmas but there was a big  problem created by his brother in law  so they left in a few days.We mailed a couple times after that but haven't heard from him since.He has a web site you might find by going to the archives.He sometimes posts on the latin women list but not recently.

Pete - I think he is talking about a different guy than Larry Sawyer.  The guy he is talking about was houndog's mentor.  This is where houndog got the idea about doing your homework, etc.etc.  I believe this Larry S. guy married a non-latina and I think her name was Dietta or something like that.

Yep...He posted first on the Asian Board, then over here on the Latin Board.  He was a nice guy.  (Larry....not Hounddog).  He married a younger lady from Kentucky.  I've often thought of Larry S and wondered what he was doing.

He's the kind of person that make Latin Board of Asian Board a better place.  Very helpful and friendly.

From time to time, keeping all the Larrys straight on LWL has been a challenge. I think there were about five of them posting regularly at one point. Tim is thinking of Larry Summers, who was interested in Latinas but wound up marrying an extraordinary AW, Dietta.

He and his wife are expecting a baby in the next few months. Last I heard he was doing terrifically well with his stepchildren, and they had accepted him as their real father figure. I admire that, since earning that kind of respect takes a lot more thought and effort than just having an orgasm. He also mentioned that his business had taken a bit of a turn for the worse and as a result he would not have as much time to post. If he were to post today, he'd probably put in one more plug for Willard Harley's book, His Needs, Her Needs. I've been reading it in Portuguese as part of my studies and it's as good as he says.
