Below is an email from someone regarding something for which I have no idea what Planet-Love.com's connection is.  I'm answering it here instead of through email, partly to ask if anyone knows this guy or what he's talking about, and partly because being threatened does not sit well with me.  Does anybody know who this guy is and exactly what he's threatening me over?  It sounds like someone has made another one of those fake websites like the one created to attack Hoda a while back, but what is the Planet-love.com connection?

Apparently you want me to do something, but it's completely unclear what that something is from your rambling email.  If you'd like to write something coherent and drop your vague and groundless threats, you'd get a significantly better response.  I do not respond to threats well.  If you expect me to cower in fear of your BS then I'm afraid you'll be disappointed.  If you want me to help you with something, threatening me is definitely not the way to go about it.  Most people who want a favor will explain the situation and ask for help (usually with a "please" in there somewhere).  You seem to believe a different approach is called for, but I assure you, I absolutely will not respond to some half-assed BS threat like the one you're starting with.

Guys, many of you know me from the Latin List Board. Recently
an imposter has posted a bogus geocities website and e-mail campaign
against me and others on this list and elsewhere. The bogus address is
larryglickman2002@nospam.com which is false. I do not endorse nor do I
even know these "granmodelo" bums but I have notified the authorities
about the "identity theft" which is a serious federal crime.
I suspect it dates back to certain agency owner whose regular marriage
agency folded and then he went into the "escort" business. What a loser.
All he had to do was make it clear that these were two different types
of businesses and all would have been well.

Since then under many alias's he has been kicked off the Latin List for
spam and slander. I have setup a temporary e-mail for repsonses at
lag@htomail.com for anyone who wants to forward anything to me for the
authorities. Companies that want to do business in the USA cannot hide
in Colombia as they think.

Larry asked me to post this letter for him as he had difficulty in obtaining a password to allow him to post it personally.  I might add I am somewhat surprised at a few of the negative comments about him as it has nothing to do with what happened regarding the email impersonating him.  Here is his letter he wanted to post:

I applied for but did not get a password yet from you so you can repost this or one of my friends who post with you can repost it. But I am curious as to why if it's an open forum I have not received a password? I am sorry if you took offense at my last private post to you. I was simply furious at the identity theft. It turns out that the granmodelos service in Cali was not behind this and they are helping me get this removed from geocities. There was no threat intended towards this board which is a valuable service. It was aimed at whoever was perpetrating the "theft". It's one thing to post a slam on someone, it's another to illegally use a photo and make it seem that the person is endorsing a product or service which in this case I had no idea about, one way or the other. The threat was to let that person know that posting or repeating a slander, is the least of their problems. The "good ol days" are coming to an end and the authorities are now willing to help with identity theft cases.

Larry Glickman is probably the number one poster on Latin womens list.To me he is an OK guy who usually has positive and accurate things to say.He has never seemed negative to me.Seems like someone is playing impersonation games here.
The list is so hard to follow I must admit I could have missed alot that he posted.

I recieve are Unbelievable. Been reading on PL since 1998, never heard of this Guy. Maybe He's using false infomation about Himself. Or just a TROLL.

Hang on and see if this is really Larry. The person who introduced the subject on LWL yesterday is chrishastings@mindspring.com, aka "Raptor", who once sent me that anti-Hoda crap himself. Obviously he has an agenda against PL (and given how fast he responded to Hamlet's post, he still reads this forum with a disturbingly close interest). I've asked Larry using his real email addy whether this is him or more identity theft. Setting up a hotmail account, etc. doesn't sound like him.

I received an email that sounds like the same one Pablo received.  Otherwise, I know nothing about a Larry Glickman.  

Neither am I aware of my name being bandied about somewhere in cyberspace as mentioned by Jim C below in this thread.

Well, Patrick, you're connected because some LWL guy named Chris (can't recall him posting there before, if he has, it's been a long time) spent about 2 paragraphs trashing P-L, everybody in general who posts here, you in particular, as the manager of P-L, and Hoda and Hounddog by name. Then he went on to say "oh, by the way, somebody is falsely accusing Glickman of endoursing a porn site."

See? It's simple, how could you not have known it was your fault? It's the same principle as if somebody broke into Glickman's house then made their getaway in a car equipped with Goodyear tires, so he thinks that it must be Goodyear's fault....don't you understand?

If what this Chris fellow says is true, Glickman has a right to be mad, but he is obviously wrong at the wrong party.

As you know, I along with other members on the board received an email recently from a person stating he was "Larry Glickman".  In this letter he mentioned that he had met a young porn star and was planning to marry her later this year.  He also mentioned Hoda and two other individuals and a link to a modeling agency in Cali.  I have spoken with Larry a number of times and knew that this email was a fake from someone pretending to be him.

In reading Larry's email to you I do not see where he is threatening you.  He is understandably upset about the situation and trying to clear his name.  He probably emailed you concerning this simply because the imposter had contacted numerous members on the board.  I cannot see any threats in his letter, especially directed towards P-L.  It is just a simply matter of a guy setting the record straight from an obvious psycho out there.

Pat    Larry is a know it all from LWL he willl have an answer for any thing. He got dumped a year ago by a calena who notified him at the airport when arriving on a K1 that he would have to convert to Christianity. The usual may december relationship. He can't be  disputed and posts all day and night.I don't even open his posts anymore. He is a big frog in a little pond. Ignore him. He has all kinds of theorys about market value when it comes to women. I think I saw hamlets name involved in some of the posts but when they are deleted you cant find them again. Pay no attention or talk to hamlet. JIM C

Jim,

Why the personal attack on Larry?  I have spoken with Larry numerous times and consider him a friend.  He has always been helpful to me when seeking advice.  Besides, wouldn't you do the same when some Bozo poses as you and sends out a sleaze ball letter like that?

Larry is a straight shooter, which doesn't sit well with everyone. But he is honest and does go out of his way to help others.

Both the "straight shooter" and the "doesn't sit well with everyone" parts. Over on LWL, some (notice that I said SOME) of the guys are 65yo out of work high school drop outs with 4 divorces behind them, no Spanish and the social graces of a rock. (well, maybe no one guy has ALL of those problems, but you get the idea.) Yet they seem to think all they have to do is wave their US passport and/or some Yankee Greenbacks around and they too can have a 22yo '10' who will "let me be the boss".

Glickman tells them to think more realisticly, most specificly "The woman has a choice too, what are YOU bringing to the mix (other than money and a visa) that SHE wants? Things like respect, patience, fidelity, stability, accept her kids etc.". They don't want to hear THAT, so they attempt to kill the messanger rather than look in the mirror and get their act together.

Actualy, 90% of what Glickman says over there makes sense.

But I still don't know why Chris had to trash P-L and everybody in it before he delivered his "Hey, Larry, look what somebody said about you" message.
