I say "poor girl ",  because she comes from wealthy family or not, I say it because you have criticized it before all world and if she doesn't have the support of you here in these forums.... you have spoken of very private things as it is the sex among you two.

Sure I will try to scan some to night for you guys. Everything is going well. We are going to see the lawyer tommorrow to discuss getting married on the tourist visa. We are going to get married in Toledo, OH because there are no blood tests required and you can get married same day. Then we will have the formal probably in Mexico in another year. I just wanted to get all the paperwork for the AOS taken care of before the formal. She is the sweetest, kindest girl I have ever been with. It really has been an incredible experience.

Whats the Hurry to get married??? Can You Honestly say that You both have a Wonderful future ahead as Husband and Wife? Being married to the wrong person can be painful. Your too young to be rushing yourself into a quick marriage, I'm 48, still never married. Your 27 correct?? Your age is desirable to Women, would you rush to marry an AW after her living with you for a short time? We are not getting married, for another couple months. We are setting a date for around October. This will be 5 months. I think 5 months is more then adequate and is much better then 90 days on the K1. It is good that alot of the guys fly down and visit their novia's 5 or 6 times before they get married but I think if you live with someone 4-5 months on a 24/7 basis, you learn much much more about the person then just taking 5 or 6 short litle vacations to Colombia or where ever and then file directly with the consulate after you get married. I think the approach I am taking is much less risky then doing the Colombia thing (finding the hottest girl you can find in one of the poorest countries in Latin America and thinking you know the girl after a few short vacations). Mexico they are alot less likely to just leave with any guy that asks them to get married like Colombia, because most Mexicans in Guadalajara are middle to upper middle class, have houses, cars, make $10,000-$15,000 a year and are motivated slightly by the green card but not as much as Colombia, but are more motivated to find an American guy because 40% of the guys in Guadalajara are gay, and the 60% of heterosexual guys almost all cheat on their wifes. I am not knocking Colombia at all. There are some extremely gorgeous women down there, but when it comes to my future wife. I tend to use a more conservative approach and prefer a girl on a tourist visa that gives me more time to get to know her.

I'm sorry to say, but it looks to me like Mike is following the same self-centered stragegy he's been on from the beginning.  Everything for his benefit, nothing for her's.  

From posting messages basically making fun of her before she arrived to (possibly) setting her up to believe that a marriage is a sure thing when he seems to be indicating that he's still not made up his mind on the message board.  And if I'm wrong about him potentially mis-leading her about the certainty of marriage, then he's setting himself up for a high-pressure decision to marry by making arrangements before he's made up his mind.

Mike, you should be talking with your girlfriend and making it clear to her that you've not yet made up your mind.  If you have done this already, then I'd strongly suggest curtailing for arrangements until you are sure.  Otherwise it's going to be difficult to stop the moving train you're on if you decide she's not for you.

While many of the newbies may think Mike is doing it "the right way," the comparison by which he claims a superior method is faulty.  Bringing her here on a 6 month tourist visa verus someone else making several trips to Colombia (or where ever) and then marrying is not valid for the majority of cases.  While some men do indeed marry in her country, most I've seen first visit multiple times, then bring the women up on a 3 month fiancee visa before making the final decision.  So in reality, it's a visit followed by 6 months together versus several visits followed by a 3 month period together.  Not much different in my mind.

Which ever way each man does it is up to him and the lady.  I just hope everybody who brings a woman here before they're certain they will marry makes it clear to the woman that he's still not made up his mind before she comes.

thanks Pat, no we are getting married for sure and I am not changing my mind. Everything is going well and I mad of made a few mistakes at first, I am not misleading her in anyway right now.
