... in response to What about these agencies?, posted by Chris Taylor on Jun 12, 2002Rather than fret over which of these two agencies to use, I'd suggest concentrating on preparing yourself. Either will work and I would not pin your hopes on marriage in one visit (actually, I wouldn't even consider doing it!). You yourself have far more to do with your eventual success or failure than the agency you select. Prepare yourself emotionally, physically, and mentally. Study Spanish. Identify and rid yourself of baggage. Decide what's really important in a woman to you (other than looks) and think about what you can look for to identify those traights. Work on yourself. Identify what it is you have to offer a lady (other than a green card and a roof & food).
Grooming is particularly important to Latin women and you should try to present yourself well. Many professional men actually get manicures and use clear nail polish in Colombia (I've refused to do it myself though my wife would like me to!). Dress well. Shorts and a tee-shirt don't convey a good image.
Probably the most important thing you should concentrate on is your Spanish skills. Speaking the language will allow you to get to know the women much better.
