This might sound crazy but another thing you may want to be concerned with is a girls dental work. My novia needs alot of dental work done and one of my friends is a dentist and said that my novia needs about $3000 worth of dental work, if I pay with out insurance. He said the best idea is to put my novia under my dental insurance before we our married because the insurance companies almost never ask for a marriage certificate as proof. He said with my plan I have about 80% coverage, but I still have to pay about $500-$600 out of pocket. We are going to wait a few months before we get her dental work done. The dentists in Latin America generally are about a third as much, so it is still better to put her under the dental plan of your company. Also the medical insurance companies rarely ask for proof before marriage, so you should also put her under your medical plan before marriage. A good Gyno can cost you alot of money with out insurance.

Ever hear of something called insurance fraud?  The jails are full of people who thought they wouldn't get caught.

I didn't think it was that easy to put one over on a insurance co. but maybe.Be carefull you are not liable for full cost if they find out you lied to them about her being your wife.
Dental work in Colombia is excellent and about 10% of the cost here.I have my wife and step son see their dentist and doctor when they visit there. They are going next month. The savings could pay for the trip. One of my friends had dental work estimated at $3500 here ,it was $300 in Colombia and he said they did an excellent job and the service was excellent. They are happy to see a cash paying gringo.
Our medical costs here are completely out of line, especially if you go to a hospital. You wind up paying your share of their enormous overhead.
I have seen people take it a step further. Some guy posted, maybe here, that he married his girl friend because she needed an operation or something that she wound up not needing.Don't get married untill your very sure.Good thing she is on a tourist visa,it will take more than 90 days to be sure about this girl.

It gives you all the messages at once, on the following morning. Much more manageable that way.

or any other latin country. In most, you can get world class dental (and medical) care for a fraction of the cost our out-of-control medical and dental system charges. It will more than pay for the airfare.

Mexican dentists in Mexico have a totally different viewpoint than American dentists here in the US. Many of my employees go to Mexico for dental work since it is so much cheaper. While I'm sure the work is effective in repairing the damage, the aesthetics seem to leave lots to be desired. My secretary, an ex-dental assistant, and I laugh at some of the silver bordered teeth, off color caps, and other strange looking Mexican dental work, the ladies come back with after a visit back home.

I agree with you 100% on the dental work. Some of the caps look like absolute garbage. Thats why she needs to get them replaced with one that actually match the color of the teeth lol.

Just My 2 cents You get what you pay for.I have a friend who is a dentist and he said the materials they use are not up to US standards I know he is a dentist here but I will pay the extra money. Just be careful
