Hey Cali Vet, I enjoyed your photos of Colombia-- next time you're in Manizales, go to Chipre, there'a a family that makes, cooks, and sells the best chorizo I've ever had. It's seriously paisa style, and delicious.

Now I am definitely ready to go back-- all I have to do is convince Luisa that we need to visit her family (terribly difficult with a colombiana, lol)

Thanks again for the photos. I was supposed to go to the parque cafe in antiochia, but came down with soroche that day ( it didn't help that my cun~ado and I stayed up smoking cigarettes, hablando mier*a, and tomando cafe most of the night. subsequently I'll look at the photos again and comment more later.

Once again, thanks!  hiking in Caldas--- sounds like a good summer vacation!

Thanks JeffA glad you liked them. A friend of mine from Barranquilla went up to los nevados on a university tour a few months ago and got to know a guardabosque there. She gave me his e-mail which I'll pass on to you if you want. He would be a good source as to where it is or isn't safe if you're planning to return soon and want to hike up there. E-mail me if you want it.
