Did anyone notice that rates went up a lot recently.  I flew to Cali 5 weeks ago from San Fransisco and the rate was $725.  I can't find anything now and out 6 months or more for less than $1072.  Does anyone know what's going on and whether rates will come down in time.....

Got a fare of $ 527 to Cali on Copa Airlines today. Leaving LAX on July 7th with stop in Panama.  I was only shopping rates and Michael at Land America Travel booked it for me.

Only problem is I want to leav on the 6th so I opted for the American Airlines flight at the higher fare. Anyone interested in this particular flight can call Michael and ask to change the reservation into their name.  Not a bad fare if you ask me.

It's Better to use ff-miles on AA.com, from the US it's 35,000 miles to Colombia. In low season it's 30,000 miles.

My rate is the exactly the same as I paid last summer from Los Angeles. $ 895.00 through Miami on American.

Need an agency I'll refer you to mine. The owner and his wife are here in Los Angeles and are from Colombia.

I also plan on flying from LAX to Colombia (Bqlla/Cartgna) this summer. Please provide your travel agents' number.

Thanks & good luck!

Tommi,

Why don't you post the American Travel contact info. so that others could benefit from what sounds like a good travel agency.

Here are two agencies that I personally use frequently. They both are very knowledgeable on South America travel. The first is owned by a Colombian couple in Los Angeles; the other is located in Miami.

AA seems to be back to it's old (expensive) fare structure. I'm having the same problem. I had the remarkable low fare of $352 St. Louis to Cali on Continental/Copa last trip. Best I can find now is considerably more than double that. On the bright side the peso is up to $2300.
