Yep.....

today was my first experience with talking to a local women that I met at the gym!

I mean, this women was so fine, I nearly triped twice while jumping my rope(swish..swish...swish...ooopppsss...d*mn hilt get up man...swish...swish...swish..BAM!)

Seriously though, she looked at me, I looked at her(blink..blink..), winked at her like I was Muhamad Ali, then she just came over and nearly made me drop my jump rope!

Now, I'm still in Barranquilla now; not in Cali yet.  But, the excitement is just beginning.

Her and I talked alot about america, why I was here(she laughed when i told her the truth), and how I like Colombia so far.

She asked me alot of questions about certain things: why is there so much racism in america, why was president Clinton cheating on his wife, why this, why that...etc..

So, I spent two hours talking to this girl, who knew a little english.  I used my labtop and translation program to talk to her 100% of the time.  I said a few words in spanish to see if she understood what I was typing.  It went fine...very fine.

We never went out, because I told her that I was getting ready to go to Cali and I didn't want to make any committments of any sort(staying focused and knowing the temptations with any decision I make).  And, guess what?  She actually appreciated my honesty.  D*mn, try that with an american girl, and you'll either get cursed out, shot in the freaking head, or looked at silly; or all three for that matter; with a shoot first asked questions later policy!

I was telling her, the truth, about american history of racism, how it started, and where it is at today, in relationship to present times; including how Bill Clinton acted towards african american/hispanics.  I told her about certain trends that are happening that will 'somewhat' eleviate racism; with the combination of interracial marriages(on the rise) between whites & blacks, with a large amount of marriages between hispanics and blacks(that the media isn't even talking about...I wonder why..hmmmmm..), and the amount of animosity towards black/white relationships in general(which is spurring the will of those interracial couples that are dating).

So, we talk..talked..and talked some more.  I met her cousin and brother that was excercising with her.  And, we all talked after I finished talking with her; outside the gymnasium.

I'm amazed at how comfortable I feel in Colombia.  It's like I'm part of them and they don't care about how I look.  It is simply a feeling that I have never felt before; unlike me being in Joplin, Missouri.

Anyway, Maria asked me about the economics of america versus Colombia. She asked me how I felt about the 'black guy that got tortured, in Texas, by being dragged by a pickup truck(yes gentlemen, these ladies read and hear news about america just like we hear news about Colombia!)

So, I told her that even though there has been alot of headway on race relations in America, there's still a long way to go to change people's heart.  And, that starts by parents teaching their children to love EVERYONE regardless of skin color.  If this was taught hard enough, by parents, there would be so much interracial mixing, of all kinds, until the United States would be 60% darker by now(laughing).

(laughing)Jokingly, I told her that I love baseball.  She said, 'why do you like baseball so much, you look like a basketball player?'.  I said, "because in baseball, it is the only time I can raise a bat at a white boy without causing a riot.  Look at what Barry Bond is doing!".  She looks at me and say, "who is Barry Bond".  I just dropped the subject and we both laughed at my joke.

I asked her if me being the color of a 3 Muskateer Bar would have any affect on my chances of finding a beautiful, smart, down-to-earth wife.  She nearly looked at me stupidly! Seriously, she thought that that question was an ignorant question.

She said, "You are so silly.  Of course, with your looks, maturity, and lady like gentlemenship, you are going to find what you want in whatever form you want". Maria said, "in Colombia, we love dark men.  This is our first attraction.  Being dark chocolate is going to do you more favor and justice in Colombia, than it will in your own country!".  Gentlemen, this nearly ticked me off until I spent 3 seconds thinking about what she said.  And, from what I have experienced so far, in Colombia, what she said is true.

I told her that out of all the women I have dated, in American, 95% of the caucasian womens' friends, family members(sister, brother, mother, and father...including cats, dogs, and mices), were against me dating their 'white' daughter.  But, on the contrary, over 95% of the minorities that I have dated, including hispanics, have responded with a positive attitude.  So, I can see why she said what she did say.  And, I could feel the 'vibe' that was all around me saying the same thing.

Inside my head, I said, "THANK YOU GOD"(laughing).....

She was also telling me(with great expression and honesty), that she had a strong attraction for me! She thought that I was very fit and in shape and that whoever my future wife is going to be, she will be happy.

Now, guys, this women is fine.  I mean, fine...fine.  And, on top of that, she's smart and has her head is on straight.  I have never seen a women, in my life, with curves that would embarrass a basketball.  Do you think I can wait to get to Cali?  You make the call....

Anyway, we went on to talk about Bill Clinton and his immoral acts.  I told her that Bill Clinton committed the same sin; a sin that could have been prevented, that David(in biblical times) committed with Bethsheba; minus sending someone to be killed just to be with their women.  Maria understood completely and we moved on to the next subject.

Next Subject....

We talked about my business and how I was running it from another country.  I told her about my software company, how I ran it, and the kind of software that I create.  She was quite amazed, to say the least.

Maria, from what I have observed, did not care about my material possessions(even though I never showed her anything but my labtop).  This was quite amazing in itself.

She was also amazed that I was single and couldn't find a wife in America.  So, I explained to her what I was looking for and she knew that what I was looking for, for the most part, I wasn't going to find it in America.  This was due to the culture that is within the American system.  I told her my value system and what I expected out of a wife.  I told her the trends that feminism has started and where it is headed. She looked at me, and typed into my computer, while saying it in spanish to me, "you need to find a wife in Colombia".  I just started 'crackin' up.

After two hours and thirty minutes talking with her and her cousin and brother, I went my way, and they went there way.

She gave me her number, just in case nothing works out for me in Cali.

Gentlemen, believe this, I'm not looking for nothing bad to happen to me in Cali.  But, if things don't work out for me, in Cali, guess who I will be calling for a visitation?....

Of course, spending 3 months in Cali should do the trick.

She didn't put any pressure on me, didn't asked me for nothing, and just kept her eyes on me 100% of the time, even while I was typing on my labtop.

This, gentlemen, is my first experience with talking, at length, with a Colombia women.

Peace....

Bogota,

Brasilgirls.com is also latineuro.com and is owned by the same guy.

Before I left, I was doing research and was checking both of his sites out.  On latineuro.com this guy gives himself a name of Lourdes and on brazilgirls.com he gives himself the name Magda.

I saw red flags running everywhere and ran as fast as I could.

Peace...

There is an old story of a King who is going to reward a soldier who showed great heroism and won a battle for the kingdom single-handedly...

The King told him that he had seven beautiful neices, and he would allow the man to pick one of them to marry. The neices beauty were legendary in the realm.

The evening came, and before the dinner, the king annoucned that he would bring the neices out one at a time for the man to choose.

The first niece was brought out, and the man approached her, and she dropped her veil to show her face to him.

The man was astonished at her beauty.

The king asked him if he would like to meet the next girl.

"No, your majesty. This woman is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life. And I know now that I want to marry her! I don't need to see the other nieces."

"But what if they are more beautiful?" the king asked.

"What do I care? I know the way my heart soared when I look into her eyes. She is the one for me."

The king then told him: "In truth, I tell you that she is my favorite neice, and also, by far, the most beautiful woman in my kingdom. And, had you passed on her to see the next one, I would not have offered her to you again. For a man who cannot recognize such beauty when he sees it... is not worthy of it..."

Gee... I don't know WHAT made me think of that story just now....

On interracial relationships between blacks and hispanics, it's rarely discussed by the media, but from what I've seen, they're much more commmon than Caucasion-Hispanic relationships.

I think it's because for the most part, our communities are close to each other, we see each other every day, we work in the same places.

I go to the Puerto Rican day parade here in NYC every year, I go tho the Colombian Day festival in Queens, there are always a healthy amount of African Amerian/African/ Carribean blacks there enjoying the festivities.

As long as you show respect for the culture in Colombia, you'll be fine.
