Just got through reading a long article in the travel section of my local Sunday paper about beach and jungle vacations in Panama. I was irked to see the author highlighting only $55-$80 hotel rooms and cabanas when every one knows those are gringo only prices and there are plenty of normal price options however the main point of my post is the artical's closing paragraph which is referring to an American hotel owner in Bocas del Toro:
“Now 69, Williams has been slowed by a stroke. But not much. A young island woman in a yellow bikini walked in from a bedroom and told Williams she was going for a swim.
‘That’s my novia-my girlfriend,’ he said. ‘There are perks to living in Panama. It’s a good place for a new start.’”
Hmmm…oh oh the secret is getting out!
