Colombian presidental candidate Ingrid Betancourt is missing near San Vincente, it is feared that she has been captured by FARC. NFI at this time.

it may be a kind of maytrdom unfolding in slow motion
towards a sudden explosion.

the odds for and against her are very much based on who
is willing to protect her.

According to news reports both the govt. AND the FARC told her to stay away from the area where she was taken and she ignored them both. It's interesting to note that she has a whopping 1% in the polls.
