began with dating, then two weeks later I asked her to be 'novios' (boyfriend/girlfriend). For about three weeks I only got the cheek kiss thing. My girl was just being cautious, as Gringos have sort of a bad reputation here. Don't get me wrong, there is every type of girl here in Jalisco. You can find whatever you are looking for, it is just that I think the majority, especially in this region where I live, tend to be very traditional in relationships. But, as I said before, this is changing rapidly due to outside influences...

My major concern with mexico is that the girls may not want to leave.  This is one of the things holding me back about going to mexico.  I do believe what you say about the women in that region be beautiful.  I have been to puerto vallarta many times.

However, it does not bother me to much that the women want to take thier time getting to know someone.   But as long as they are clear that we are looking for a wife and not 'just friends'.

My question Randy is... Since you been down there a while,,, have you had any conversations with other women in those areas you mention,  on what they might do if they met an american with the possibility of a reationship?  I would be interested in hearing the feedback.
