Need Help With Calling Card Info

Gents,

I have been trying to locate a reasonably priced calling card.  I have not been sucessful.  I have two young ladies to call in Cali, but have not done so yet.  A few recent post deal with long distance carriers not calling cards.  Any advise welcomed.  There must be several guys calling Cali now, appreciate your feed back.

Buying the South American Excellence card from

We have only used it twice, but there are no connection charges and the quality was pretty good.  I think she got close to 3 hrs with a $10 card....not bad.  I am really looking for ways to cut down on this phone bill...Mike

Ken, I received an ad in the mail for flat rate calling.  I have only used it once to Colombia and I have not received my bill yet but the advertised price for Colombia is 19 cents a minute.

Prefix your number with 101-6868.

A very good friend married a girl in the Philippines and moved there to live.  I have used this to call him there and the advertised price is exactly what I was billed.

Got sick & tired of bad connections & lost time & money. Tracking down customer service for a refund for some of these tele-card sharks, is an adventure in itself. I've heard of rates less than 1016868, but so far, I've only lost a couple of connections, but I haven't loss money with them. Another good thing, when you go to Bogota & show them your phone records, (in case they want to see proof of relationship) all of these calls will be listed on your bill. Nothing is recorded using calling cards.

My family has used 1016868 for a couple of years with great results. Not a single instance of billing problems. And the quality of the connection is very good. $ 0.19/min 24-7.

That's a clever point about having hard copies of phone records for the embassy. Good thinking.
