Re:  Women and cities
If Bogota is where you go for the more mature and educated girls, and if Cali is where you find the more attractive salsa dancers, what are the girls in Medellin like? I have yet to find an agency there per the archives.  Anyone know?

Thanks

Tried to e mail you, but the address was undeliverable.

Ill just respond here.

I have just finished a book entitled "Children of Cain" by TINA Rosenberg 1991. It talked about all the violence in Medellin.  25- 50 people mudered a day (not counting politicians).  How Power, not government runs the country (cities).  How drug lords are seen as the hero as the build houses for the poor. Sicarios are hired to kill for as little as $10.00.  Judges are either paid off or knocked off.  The state/federal government glady lauder the drug money (us currency) for the cartels promising it to be non taxable.  Drug lords own most of the farm land (coffee, bannanas, etc and pay the people little to nothing). A large percent believe in black magic (Cartel) and could care less about human life and the Catholic church.  IS ALL THIS STILL GOING ON?  What a corrupt & brutal country.  Is this still the character of the country of Colombia.  I know Escober is dead, but many have risen to fill his shoes. Has "all this activity moved into the country  side as so many laud?

Have any other suggestions on any good books on related topics in Colombia?

Appreciate it,

Ken

well u can try again. i dont know why it would be undeliverable. i checked just in case i gave u the wrong address but thats not the case. take in consideration that the book was written in 1991 when the drug lords were really in top of things. they still have power but is not as it was b4. the politics of the country are something that is difficult for us to understand. politicians have power beyond imagination. i guess thats why they have so much trouble with guerrilas. then again that book seems to concentrate in all the things wrong with colombia. im not gonna lie to u and tell u its heaven on earth. u just need to exercise caution as u would if u go to any big city in the world. as 4 me i can tell u that when i met my wifes friends and family i was taken in like one of their own.

Please don't get me wrong... I wrote those things as they came as a real shock to me.  My understanding of the country is not well informed so I spoke about what I knew.  The sub title of the book I mentioned earlier is "Violence and the Violent in South America." Thus this is all she deals with. I found nothing current in our local library here in Saint Louis.  This is part of the reason I asked if you knew if there were anything current on the subject.

Any positive info is very welcomed.

(Now I can see why there is a real lack of men in the country, many have been murdered).

Ken,

If you go to: http://www.barranquillabeauties.com/

you may find this site attractive and the owners sincere.

This is just another alternative, if and only if you are interested in Barranquilla women.

Peace bro,

Hilton
