Bros,

O.k, it's about 8:28pm central standard time.  I just finished up a CGI software that I'm developing.  I'm now sitting here dreaming about what most of you have already done and what I want to do.

I just ran over to Ricardo's site(www.allcolombiangirls.com) and his site looks really nice.  From my impression, you can pay the $395 for the yearly membership, plus your daily $70 fee for rented room.  Or, you can just pay the $70 for the rented room without paying the annual fee.

In any case, he made me one heck of a deal.  If I was willing to stay in Colombia for a 5 month period and attend a spanish immersion program near his place; he said that there were many places to learn spanish, then I would be able to get away with only paying $400 per month in rent to stay at his place.  There's probably cheaper places to stay.  But, being that his place already has internet connection, and all the other comforts I would probably stay at his place.  This would allow two things:  to meet women daily, which will allow me to up my chances of finding a wife(while I run my business at night(with the exception of weekends).  And, two, to meet any women outside of the agency as a result of going to the Spanish immersion program.

Now, being that I haven't gone to Cali, nor have never been there, I need some feelings from some of you guys that were in my shoes.  So, I have three questions:

1) What were you feeling when you knew that you were going to Cali to find your wives, but you were just waiting, which could have been due to a vacation, finishing up some business, etc...?

2)What was it like the first time you stepped outside of that plane in Cali and entered that 'famous' marriage agency?  What were you feeling...

3) When you guys were meeting women, how did you go about determining who was what when so many women were just hanging around you?

Thanks friends,

hilton
P.S...I think that there's too much arguing on the board.  We come here to love each other, not dis on one another.  So, let's just start helping each other instead of putting someone into verbal heck...Everybody can be a success if you just have the faith to go follow your dreams.  I know I will.....

1- Nervous as hell! But I felt the calling, that I had to, that I needed to go. The waiting was the hardest part. You're bouncing back & forth, saying to yourself, what in the hell am I doing & I've got to go because the women I'm meeting here, ain't getting it...lol!

2. Oh-boy!!!....Yo Hilt, go to my trip report. You'll get my answers there...lol. If you can swing that adventure, by all means do it, my man! Pull the trigger, don't look back, go for it, etc, etc, etc....

Peace...Hoda

p.s. Unfortunately, when people get together, there's going to be the proverbial "bumping of heads". Especially with those that are "Really" serious in our search to find & be found by love...

Hoda,

I know what you mean bro.  I'm feeling the call too.  And, like you said, "the women here ain't getting it!".

Well, you're right, the women here ain't getting it.  They don't understand my mentality.

I truly believe that a person has to match his mentality to the kind of women that will be reciprical to his mentality.  And, this isn't the case with most(99%) of the american women population.

So, I have to go somewhere where the women will appreciate and recipricate my mentality; women who will want to be with me because of my mentality.  I want a women to be a women and not try to be the man of the house.

Womens lib, here in America, has taught women, especially the young girls growing up now, that they don't need a man and can do without one.  And, if they do find a man, he best not be a liability to them, but only an asset(in terms of finances).

It's sad....and that's the reason why I'm going to Cali.

Peace...

Hilton,
The guys that have been to Colombia I think will all agree that you need to get down to Colombia to experience what it's all about. I recommend going for Christmas and New Years. There's going to be a number of" Vets" down there to show you the ropes. During the holidays is a real fun time. Go and jump in the water.

... you might want to talk to Nelson. A while back he advertised that he was looking for someone to teach English at Charlie's place in exchange for room and board. I recall that he wanted someone to teach full time, which wouldn't leave time for immersion in Spanish. So, perhaps you could make some deal for part-time teaching in exchange for some part of your living expenses, then you could study Spanish, teach English, and  meet eligible women in both venues, as well as while hanging around at Charlie's Place. I think that as an English teacher you'd be in a VERY nice position to meet the women who are registered with Latin American Introductions. I'd do it if I weren't already engaged and if I could afford to take the time away from work. And, there are two PCs connected to the Internet at Charlie's Place.

Something to think about, assuming Nelson still has the need.

One other thing that may not be common knowledge - in Colombia, teachers are very highly regarded and respected, unlike American teachers that are treated like sh-t. So, as an English teacher in Colombia you'd probably get lots of nice attention from the eligible students.

I'm sure you could work a similar deal with Ricardo if you prefer Cali or even at one of the many other Cali agencies in exchange for dating/meeting privilages there.

Cali vet,

Yes, I agree. Native English speakers are in high demand all over Colombia. I imagine he'd be able to make an equitable deal in Cali too.
