Question regarding the best agency to join...

Hi Everyone,

Before I start, this is my first post to this board.  If you can email me, please do so.  

O.k, I will be joining latinlove.net.  They seem to be a good and reputable company and a great vehicle for finding my future wife.

I have a few questions though:

1) Would anyone know how many women latinlove.net has within their books?

2) How are the Cali women different than the 'typical' american woman?

3) I have just had a girl break up with me because, in her own words, "I just want to be friends and live my own life".  Mind you, this is after she approached me at the YMCA, dated me for  4 weeks, and everything else you can imagine.  And, this is not the first time that this has happened to me.  I'm just fed up with american women.  Period!  So, I had a friend, we are both african americans(I'm 30), who just married a beautiful women from Cali.  He joined, at the time, Ed Beckwith's facility(latinconnections.com...which is no longer in service due to his bad practices).

My last question is, are the women more serious about marriage than the american women are?

Thanks everyone.  I am a very nice guy, but it seems like nice guys finish last in america.  And, those that do find a good american woman, wound up admitting that finding a 'good' women is like looking for a needle in a haystack.  I want a good, loving, and beautiful wife.  And, latinlove.net, which is ran by Adriana, seems to be the vehicle that will take me where I want to go.

Hilton,
Welcome to the board and welcome to one of the most adventurous times of your life.. I too was a Newbe not long ago. I have made several trips to Cali since then. There is a lot for you to learn my Gringo friend. These boards are worth theire weight in Gold for tips and information that will contribute to your sucess in South America. There are many Agencies in Cali. I have personally been to several. I can give you my opinion for a first timer (or newbe). I would not say anything negative about any agency because they all serve a purpose. Be careful about the advise that you recieve from others because all people are different . You will get great references and some not so great. So, read as much as possible before you set out on your mission.
My personal recommendation for a first timer would be Latin Best. Luz is the lady who runs the plase. She is very nice and makes you feel comfortable. This place is Very User Friendly..You can also stay there. They have translaters and it is very affordable. I suggest to visit there website and browse the galleries.

Second: Latin Women Connection. This place has a great staff but is a little more designed for "Fly on your own". They have a great condo for privacy with a lovely housekeeper who will cook and clean for you. They have many beautiful women on the books.

I personally Know the owner of Latin LOve, They have many beautiful women on theire books. I have never stayed with him but can offer my opinion and my first choice recomendation for you. Mis Gringitos was an agency that has recently closed down. The owner is Norman. He is a real nice guy (american) and offers a bed and breakfast in the south side. He was assoiciated with Latin Love but from what I understand no longer has agency ties just a bed and breakfast.

As far as being serious !! Well my friend, you life is about to change. After returning from my first trip to Cali, I would throw rocks at American Women.. If you have 1/2 of a personality and an ounce of charm, you will have no problem at all in Cali meeting a wonderful woman who is serious about you. Well I could go on this subjuct forever so I hope this gives you just a little to think about and research......  I will stay in touch.

Now, being this said, I have always, without any real proof, believed that nice guys finish last in america when it came to finding 'the' wife. I have talk to many guys that have been married for more than 20 years and every single one; and I mean every one of them, have told me that they "just got real lucky in finding whom they found". I don't like that phrase. Reason? Because that means that in order to find a good women, in american, you will nearly have to look for a needle in a haystack. And, joining a single's club doesn't help the matter much!

I don't smoke, don't drink, don't go to bars(barhopping)don't do any dope, cocaine, hash, pcp, lsd, etc....
To me, I'm the nicest guy in the world.  I don't hit on women, I don't disrespect women, and I don't look at them as 'just' sex objects.  So, I don't understand my ex-girlfriends reasoning.

Anyway, my suspicions of finding the right women was shot right out of the water after my recent, 'future thought to be wife' told me that she just wanted to remain friends because she couldn't understand her confusion about starting another serious relationship'.

I have had other women tell me the very same thing, but in different forms. So, to me, my suspicions have been right all along. Mind you, all of these women have approached me, I never approached them(this is called pull marketing instead of push marketing....in the world of direct marketing). So, as I was about to say, my suspicions will end with the last girl that hurt me!

I have decided to join latinlove.net and meet some women. There really isn't a joining fee, just a room fee(10 days for $399...an excellent deal!). The owners are sincere and true to their customers, according to my research.

Zappa, I think it would be appropriate for me to say that 98% of the american women population need to go visit Colombia to see how 'real' women treat and devote themselves to their man(god first, family second, job third). And, 100% of the american men population needs to go visit colombia to see why they married the woman that they have now(I now that sounds bad, but the truth would come out if this were to happen).

I have nothing against american women. There are some good ones out there. But, I refuse to marry an american women after what I have experienced and from all the divorces that my friends and associates are going through. As a matter of fact, I would be willing to go as far as to say that any opportunities that I have from now on, that presents itself that involves an american women, I will flat out refuse her!

I'm finding my wife in Cali. And, it's just as simple as that!

I want to second what Patrick said below, finding a good lifetime partner from Cali has little to do with what agency you go to but everything to do with you and what you bring to the table.

Some agencies may be better than others but the thing that distinguishes them is not so much their female members but rather the service and sincerity of the agency staff.  To illustrate this, an amiga of mine in Cali belongs not to one agency but five or six.  The lucky guy who wins her heart won't care much whether he met her at Latin Love or Latin Encounters, he'll just be happy that he met her.

If you have a week or two, I'd suggest you fly in to Cali and stay the first night in a nice hotel.  They'll pick you up at the airport just like an agency would.  The next day, I'd hire a taxi for a few hours and drive around Cali and check out two or three agencies that you've heard good things about. Talk to the staff and see if you like them.  Check to see if there are other gringos staying there at the same time.  Half the fun of Cali is the friendships you develop with other Americans.

E D is right if you really wanna see for yourself whats going on in the cali agency scene get a hotel room your first two days  in town and go check out the agencies yourself.

Hilton,

Far more important than the agency you choose is what you bring with you.  I noticed that your friend found someone from an agency that most guys with opinions will generally describe as bad, so I wouldn't worry too much about the agency you've picked.  Maybe you could visit more than one while you're there.

The important part is you.  How much effort you put into it.  How good your people skills are.  Your Spanish skills, knowing what you really want, and your ability to think clearly and not act impulsively are important.

I would describe Latinas as (generally) more like "old fashioned" women, though in any culture you'll find a broad spectrum.  Keep in mind that they aren't all made from the same mold.

Thanks for everything.  I have emailed Adriana, from latinlove.net.  And, in less than 12 hours I received in email from her.  Her personality definately shows up in her email, even though some of the words are broken english.  I could understand everything she was saying.

In any case, I will be going to Puebla, Mexico for five months to join the spanish immersion program; unless there is one in Cali that I don't know about.  Then I will go to latinlove.net's bed & breakfast.  Adriana told me that they have 1200 female members.

By the way, do any of you know if there's a spanish immersion program in Cali for me to learn Spanish?
