hello all, is there any other forms that the fiance  has  to fill out, other than the G325a. also, where does the one inch photo go???. i know you have to have one, but on the forms, it does not say where it goes.here is a better question, does anybody know someone who does this for a couple hundred $???. i would hate to fill it out wrong, and have to wait months to find out, but i also do not want to pay $500 to $1000, just to fill out some paperwork. thanks

Hi,

If you're tripping over details so early in the paperwork process and you have no clue about the other forms you need to fill out you need to either get TONS more focused and organized or pay someone who is more organized and has experience doing these things.

I'm paying Gary Bala (www.visa-attorney.com) to do all of the INS paperwork and I'm very happy with his service. He has lots of experience doing this sort of thing and he's been INCREDIBLY available to me for the tons of little questions I've asked him along the way. Like every other service there are good providers and crappy ones. Plus, Gary Bala, and I imagine other good visa attorneys or paralegals keep up with changes in processes and laws. A few days after the 9/11 tragedy, for example, I called Gary to ask how that might affect INS processing of my bride-to-be's spousal visa petition. He not only answered my question but pointed me to his web page where he had already written a document expressing his views on the situation.

Yes, you can certainly do all of the paperwork on your own if you're greatly detail oriented but I made the choice to pay someone for the help. I figure that if being super prepared saves me a delay in processing, or a frantic effort to get more documents FedEx'd from the US then it'll be worth it.

I do have to say that Gary's not cheap. But, we all make our choices in how to spend our money. My life is pretty overwhelming right now and I can afford to pay and I value the service so I've bought it.

.....many other immigration attorneys. Also agree that his service and accessability is second to none. Sounds like a good choice for Mudd.

My wife wants me to tell you to not waste your money on anyone.  I paid someone to start the process (I didn't make the second payment) and he was next to useless.  There were parts of the process I understood better than he did.

Call the INS 800, wait forever and then ask your questions.  It's a long frustrating process but wasting $500 will not make it shorter or less frustrating.

Yes there are more documents than the G-325.  One happens to be the K-1 Visa form itself, the I-129f.  Did you know that for the bio part, there are actually four copies of the same form, but each just a little different? I'm pretty sure you have to turn in a affidavit of support(I-864) also. And there is not ONE pic, but rather several from both you and her. And she will have to sign some of the documents, as I recall. I don't want to try to give you the exact details, because it was 9 mos ago when I filed it, so my memory is not fresh.

You are right, you don't necessarily need legal help to do this thing. They key to the whole thing is details...you have to follow the directions.  If you do it yourself, you need to be a bit more organized than you appear to be.

Here is a good link to start:

Good Luck,
