I have been there Dec.1 to Feb.24.The weather was about the same,warm,low-mid 80's maybe.Warm at night,maybe 70 low.Brief rain every few days,humid.Almost perfect actually.
Wish there was a beach.

i was there last year in november for about 10 days , it rained almost everyday but it wasnt cold i'd say the high was in the low 70's at night it got a little cooler maybe mid 60's if that? i have never worn a coat in cali even at night, during the day i would wear a polo type shirt in the evening a long sleeve shirt. dress nice but casual(dockers, polo, loafers, whatever) the cali ladies dont like a slob.im not sure but i heard norms is closed.it might not hurt to take a light jacket(windbreaker type). dont worry about it to much just go and enjoy yourself.

And avoid wearing dark colored clothing at night, it attracts a ruthless species of bugs known as "vampirus insectus colombianus" commonly referred to as "BIG @SS Colombian Mosquitoes".

Hey Tai,

I wish I would've caught your response earlier. You should have seen the size of those beast in Tumaco! We used spray, soap & prayer. Those SOB's treated repellants as if it was salsa....lol

Ouch, ouch....Hoda!

p.s. I used to believe that reference in regards to certain colors attracting the beast....BASURA. Either that or the ones in Tumaco were color blind...lol

Hoda,

All I know is that those jokers were EATING ME ALIVE in Barranquilla. By the time I left, my arms looked like I'd had the chickenpox.

...maybe the mosquitoes in Tumaco were using "infra-red", so clothing color was moot. LOL.

Buck,

I wish I had heard this earlier. I knew there was a lotion that was supposed to have the added benefit of working as a mosquito repellent, but couldn't recall the name. -Now that you've said it, the "avon skin so soft" immediately clicks.

I tried this other lotion called "nature of the earth". Aside from making your skin sweat even more than usual, putting that crap on was like ringing the mosquito dinner bell..."COME AND GET IT!!!" LOL
