I had to go to bogota to the canadian embassy and while I was there decided to take in the sites.
Many of you guys probably know about this but for the guys that don't here you are.
there is a church approx half an hour outside of Bogota and is called the salt church , it is 1 km in the mountain and 150 meters down.; This is built in a mountain of salt(no kidding). This is an incredible thing to see they have 10 stations depicting the events of jesus on the cross. there is also 3 chapels inside. the scale of this is amazing. This is definately a must see. The countryside is also beautiful and they have english speaking tour guides to narate this for you.
Second thing is in bogota you can take a cablecar to the top of a mountain were there is a church with some restaurants another amazing place. Went to a Galeria Minas de Colombia store and seen how they processed emeralds. there was many to purchase but they seemed very expensive. Overall a very interesting trip. Probably the biggest thing I noticed was the woman don't even compare to the girls of cali as far as looking sexy. But they seemed a little friendlier as far as smiling at you when you were walking down the street. JMHO
