Can anyone tell me what org. Hoda used when he was in Cali?He mentions the Latinlove Palace.Sounds like a great place for a rank beginner like me to start at.

Sadly the palace is no more(as an agency that is)The Crystal Palace was the original home of Latin Love.It was shown on the Latin Love web site untill recently. The Latin Love operation has been moved to another house to cut expenses.
It was Quite a place, wish you had seen the old web site.
18,000 Sq.ft.,8 bedrooms,7 or so baths, big pool right in the center of it.It was also the hot place to go about 2 years ago.I met my wife their in December 1999 and had a great time in the process.I met some guys who are still my friends.Even if I hadn't met my wife it would have been the best vacation I have had.I did a 12 part post starting December 15,1999.Hoda did an 18 part post starting in September 1999 that really put the word out on the place.
I thought the place was great and well worth the $100 a night I paid(no other fees). There were rumors of bad management and price competition set in.Other people were offering essentially the same thing in less luxurious houses
for $30-$40 a night.Bud,the original owner who started it sold it to a guy named Robert who quickly lost interest and let it go down further.Bud took it back and his wife Adriana moved it to another house. The new web site is up,(you can find it under latin agencies here),without the fabulous house pictures from before.
I really liked the place.I had looked at it on the web site many times befor going and I would go out and stand by the pool and think"its just like the pictures, and I am here".It was kind of magical for me.Its sad to think its gone, even if I was never going to stay there again.I even thought of buying it,but I am afraid to live in Cali full time.
Patrick, what happened to archives 1-5 where our trip reports were?

The first 6 archives are went away in a delete to make room for the new material being posted.  I'm working on a new archiving scheme that will make it possible to store more (probably 75 archives per board).  Anybody wishing to submit pictures with a trip report will have permanent space (unless the person submitting it asks me to remove it later).
