(AP) - A car bomb planted by suspected leftist rebels resulted in heavy property damage Friday in a northern city, but no injuries or fatalities, police officials said.

The Renault sedan packed with about 100 pounds of explosives shattered residences and commercial warehouse space over a three-block area in Valledupar, the capital of Cesar state, about 410 miles north of Bogota.

State police blamed the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, the country's largest rebel band, but did not provide a motive for the attack. The rebel group has not accepted or denied responsibility.

Even though I can't count, ja ja, I'm afraid you're going to be proved right. Right now my lady is in Bogota (without a phone ARRRGH!)--wonder if she's better off there than in Bucaramanga? Looks like FARC is going after the Department (state) capitals now.....probably with techniques learned from the IRA.
