... in response to Flying to SA
, posted by Evan on Sep 16, 2001 Men who live close to the Mexican border, may want to consider taking Mexican Airlines to Colombia to avoid the shutdowns in America. I have taken flights before from Tijuana. It was simple. I arrived early and parked in the parking lot closest to the border. I told the attendant I would be gone for a week and he directed me to a special location where I could park my car. The cost was $7 a day. I walked across the border with my luggage and took a Taxi to the Airport on the Mexican side. The time to the Airport from the border was less than 10 minutes. You have to buy a visa at the airport for about $20. But, it is good for 6 months. Last Sunday I came across the border. They had detectors and more security but the wait was still only 40 minutes.
