I just bought a ticket for my wife to fly home to Peru this weekend. Round trip Atlanta to Lima, 350.00 plus taxes and fees. Might be a good time to visit Priceline for those of you who are going soon.

Don't worry. It is not problem to fly, I just came from Cali- Colombia last Sunday and everything is fine. It is a lot of security on the airport so It is more safe now than before.

I think the cheap tix are on the way.

The safety of flying hasn't even occured to me.

The fear of a crashing economy and the slow down of my business has.

Soon as the long waits at the airport clear and the ticket prices go down, I'm goin down to take a look.

Take care,
Wayne

i agree with you...i think the tix prices will go down and you sure wont have trouble getting a seat. i am also worried more about the economy, we are already in a recession and my business is feeling it.

Pack,
I went to the airport early Friday 9-14 to take my planned trip to Cali. I could get to Miami but not from Miami to Cali. No international flights at that time. I rescheduled to a later date. For me I am not afraid. For all the self professed bravado that Americans seem to talk about as a result of last Tuesday's atrocity, many of those same people aren't willing to do anything more than to sit at home in fear. Sure they will be very "Rah-Rah, go get 'em military bad guys" but don't forget that most people ran away from the WTC after the attack, leaving behind thousands of injured and helpless people. I say if you're going to "Talk the Talk" then you better be prepared to "Walk the Walk". Where's your huevos people?

well i do agree that people should not stop flying, as i said the airlines are probably safer now than ever before.however, to say that you are amazed that people are afraid to fly seems like a strange statement to me. of course people are afraid to fly we just had 4 planes attack america and they are now saying that there were even more planned that were unsuccessful. now they are saying there could be a second wave of attacks on this country and europe coming soon. yet you are amazed at peoples reactions? i have a good friend in the airlines industry and he tells me that thousands of airline pilots and crew are refusing to fly and are calling in sick to avoid flying. does that amaze you to? im not amazed at all i think its very normal concidering the circumstances.
