Of course, I checked referances and did complete research before I chose one. Yes, you are always taking chances with childcare. But when you have no other choice, you just do the best you can do.
I think the main problem with todays children, in my opinion, is that we don't take time to listen. Children are always telling you things whether they are talking or not. We just need to take the time and know what is going on in their lives while they are away from us. For example, my oldest daughter and I always have a discussion when she comes home from school. We talk about how her day went, and we work out her problems(if any) that she is having with her peers or teachers. I can always tell by her body language if she had a good day or a bad one. I dig and ask questions, and she tells me things she would otherwise keep to herself.
