Just got back from Cali a few days after Pack. One of the places we both stayed at was an agency new to me near avenida sexta that some of you have mentioned before. It is Ricardo's All Colombian Girls, av 8n #24n-30 667-1624. For those who don't already know he is the x-husband of Margareth Majorca who operates Latin Encounters not far away. Their relationship seems to be amicable, in fact I bumped into both of them at the airport where they were meeting an American and each handed me their card. Any way I had met Ricardo before when he was with Margareth but never got to know him as he seemed to stay pretty much in her shadow. It turns out he's a very nice guy and to my eyes seems to be offering THE DEAL in Cali. Like the old Crystal Palace/Media Naranja he gives full agency service for the cost of the room, no membership fee but a four nite minimum. The differnce is the rate for my very nice room with private bath AND air-conditioning (my first in Cali) was $40. Yup even hot water. More important though is that he has a lot of very atractive woman and seems to be signing them up like crazy. He even hands out flyers to pretty girls on the street and at Chipichapi. Whats more if you see any girls you like from Latin Encounters he will get you a date with her so at least theoreticly you have access to two agencies for the price of one. I say theoreticly because I didn't have occaision to utilize that option myself but I have no reason to doubt. In addition to being a genuinly likable guy he seems to be straightforward, so much so that my hustle detector never even blipped. You can call me a shill if that's how you see it but beleive me I have dropped some bucks on the agencies in Cali and been danced the hustle-bustle. If things don't work out with the lady I met I know where I'll look anew.
Price updates for any fellow cheapskates out there: night at airport hotel w/one long distance call to Trujillo $50.700 ($25). Airport to bus terminal in Cali $2.000 ($.90).

Passing out flyers in the street and at the mall?

Does he have any kind of screening going on, or is it merely "hey, you're pretty...wanna meet some gringos?"

Yes Tai the fat ugly ones are screened out. But seriosly you know as well as I do that none of the agencies do any serious screening. In any case Ricardo is a life long native and knows perfectly well who's a pro and who isn't. I think even you and I know that. But here's what he told me and you can take it for what it's worth. Most all of the the agencies just put ads in El Pais (this is true because I've asked at other agencies). Most of the women who respond are the fat, the old and the ugly. Is it any different here in the states? So instead Ricardo goes out and actively looks for unattatched PRETTY girls to sign on.
What brings pretty women in he says, are gringos and the pretty girls who meet gringos bring pretty girlfriends to the agency to meet gringos. Thus spoke Zarathustra.

cali-vet is right on about All Colombian Girls agency Rcardo the owner has got to be the busiest agency owner in Cali , he is out everyday bringing girls in for membership.i stayed there my last 10 days in Cali and im certain i saw him sign up 6 to 10 girls a day. Ricardo is very energetic and wants to please the gringos so he's bustin his but to make his agency a success. he has his website up now and he will give you a deal. i highly recommend you check out his agency .

On my browser his web site pops up for a breif moment and then my browser is redirected to an empty page.

His website does work except that it has a whole bunch of broken links between the age categories and if the traffic is too slow it'll give you an empty page. Sometimes you have to click the refresh button several times to complete the downloads. Beautiful morenitas--some are well endowed!!!!!! The type that can cause a gringo's little head to take over the big head and the wallet!!

jes , Ricardo had a nice website then he and his partner had a falling out and the x-partner trashed his site . so Ricardo has had to atart all over again from scratch , im sure they are trying to work the bugs out. i can tell you this i stayed there my last 10 days in Cali and he does have alot of very pretty girls.

I to was having it pop on very briefly before disappearing. I switched to IE and it loads fine.

Right, I noticed that the majority of the real beauties are in the "too young and too hot category"--Overall, how were the middle 30's girls? serious? players?

I read your last post-interesting, insightful, but I get a perception that there are lot of girl players in those parties and hardly a suitable atmosphere to find genuine love. Maybe I am wrong, but....

well ...yes and no. i also noticed at every agency i stayed at or visited there are players out there you can be sure of that. however there are also sincere sweet girls out there. buyer beware.
