Is being married to a Latina as good as we are hoping it is?  For those veterans on the board who
have been married awhile is it the great marraige we all shooting for? willing to sacrifice for? travel
to other countries? Are latinas what we think? The best possible wives on the planet?  I know from
having had a latina novia and now my second that they are the best girlfriends much better than
american women but I guess am asking how is it working out like you thought? better? spill it por favor.  And not
those who just crossed the finish line (Larry) but those with some experience.
Thanks
D.

Marriage is marriage, whether it's to a Latina or an American woman.  They take work and sacrifices.  Marriage to a Latin woman is not the answer to world hunger, but after 4 years I can say that I have no regrets and think it was a great choice.  I married a woman only 2 1/2 years younger than myself though.  I suspect if you were to poll men who married women significantly younger than themselves the satisfaction rate (and survival of the marriages) several years after the wedding might be lower.

Look for a good woman rather than arm candy and I think you'll do fine.

Patrick:  I would have to second what you have said. My Gloria is five years younger than I (41 & 36). I have to admit, I was one of those who loved the chiquita's, as my 'target' age seemed to be 20-25. I had absolutely no trouble finding dates for the first month or so I was in Mexico, in fact I was overwhelmed. But it soon became apparent that most of the girls in my 'target' group just either wanted to be 1) friends, 2) practice their English, 3) just including me in their fun, which was very nice too, as american college girls would never ask a 40 year old student to go out to a club with them, 3) they were too controlling or played games. But hey, they were young girls, let them have their fun, its natural for them to be that way. Like I said before, I almost lost out on the best woman I could have ever found just due to my own arrogance regarding her chronological age. Luckily, I woke up in time to find this treasure of a woman with no red flags, no ulterior motives (she has a green card and visa, her family is solid middle class), an education, loves to pitch in (is a hard worker) and loves sports (she plays in a volleyball league and likes to Hike in the Mountains). Anyway, I am getting long winded and straying, but bottom line: don't discount women over 30 at all. If I were a newbie, I would concentrate on women in this age group....Randy
