Recently there have been posts regarding bad experiences in the search for "the one". I think there needs to be a distinction made by THE POSTER. "Am I asking for opinions, or just posting an experience?"

First, consider that there are a wide variety of personalities here, so the range of responses are SURELY going to vary.

Second, if you ask for Opinions, you take what you're given and don't cry foul...because you asked for them.

Third, if you post an Experience, without offering insight as to what YOU learned or think should be learned from it, then again you run the same risk of having opinion/perspective offered on what the lesson should be/should've been.

The only way to avoid other peoples opinions altogether is to keep them to yourself. Now if we all did that here, then this forum would be a cyber-ghost town.

There IS a lot of both useful and interesting information passing through this forum; consular info, agency recommendations, geographic recommendations, search/selection tips, adventures/misadventures, etc.

People WILL learn from the stories/experiences posted here, one way or another, just maybe not always in the exact way it was originally anticipated. When you want to relay a particular message or lesson, you focus your delivery accordingly.
