Hey to all with Colombian novias/esposas Tonight 7/26 7:30 central time on Univision is the Semifinal
for the Copa America 2001 I got to see first hand in a big screen at an open air resturant
the colombians going crazy for the soccer team!  GO COLOMBIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I met a guy on the plane coming home who was colombian and I told him
"Soy para Colombia!" and I could tell by the look on his face he was moved, he did say
a word he just he just put out his hand and we shook as if to say "Amigos!" there was so
much pride in his face.  I am proud of my novia's country and will cheering the Colombian team
to victory tonight.

Colombia should be able to win tonite, but soccer is a weird sport. You never know.

I actually saw the Colombian national team once, in a friendly against Northern Ireland at Foxboro Stadium a few weeks before the World Cup in '94. They were amazing to watch. Valderrama, Rincon, Asprilla. They played a short one touch passing game. I realized players like Valderrama knew where they were going to pass the ball before they received it.

And of course, there were plenty of pleasing sights in the stands as well.
