Hey guys,
I hate to bug you with this, but is there anyone who has gone thru the K-1 process lately (ie in the last month)? If so, would you mind looking in your file and see what forms were asked for:

for example

I-134 or I-864 Affidavit of Support
OF-230 Part 1
OF-230 Part II???
OF-156
OF-156k

I am having some problems with the person I retained to handle this for me and am gonna give it a shot myself.  I mean look, this is not brain surgery as long as you know what the forms are.

My fiance has recieved the packet, but I have not recieved it here yet and am concerned.  I was thinking I could have her fax me copies of all the documents, that way I could compare them with the gov. forms that I can download to make sure they are the same.  That way, I can make sure everything will jive with what they ask for in the packet.  I can then use the downloaded (and clean) copy rather than risk using the copies she will fax me.

Anyhelp would be appreciated...

Mike

well i can answer the affidavit of support question for you...since you are going the K-1 route you will need to fill out the I-134 form and sign it (and might be good idea to send it with the last three years income tax return, its what im going to do) and send back to your novia so she will have it for the interview ...you dont need to fill out the I-864 affidavit of support till after you are married here in USA..you submit it(the I -864) with the marriage license and other paperwork to get the change of status (cause now your married and she will become a resident and need to get her green card) ...the other stuff i have no idea...i changed gears and went the Wife visa route and filled out the I-130 instead the of the I-129 ...because was soooo much faster...my wife got her packet in mail from the embassy in mail just one week later, im getting the same paperwork together you are for the embassy interview...so we are doing similar things..just lil different...only thing i know i need to send her is I-864, she is sending me a copy of all the forms she got from the embassy and the orginal I-864 form (but instead of waiting you can order yourself and get)..... she has a checklist of all other stuff she needs (is in spanish) which are things which pretain to her....birthcertificate, police record, some form she has to fill out asking the basic info again, she has to get shots....i would see if you cant get the checklist from her so you will know the breakdown of things she suppose to bring to interview.....hope helps, Golden

You definately want to send three years of tax returns and include each year's W-2 also.  I think you are also supposed to have a letter from your employer that basically says how long you have worked for them and what your compensation is. Don't forget that.  Thanks for the input.
