As I wind down my batchelorhood, there are many things to do...obviously.  I have put this off a couple of weeks, but even though she knows I am engaged, I have continued to correspond with a girl from Cali.  She is one of the nicest, sincere Colombianas that I came across.  She speaks pretty good english.  She works as a manager for a restaurant down there.  As far as looks go, she is probably about a 6 1/2-7. She is 28sh...I asked her if she wanted me to help her because I knew of some American men from this board. She said OK....she said she would prefer someone maybe 30-35, with a good heart.  I truly think she is a great person and would like to help her.

I did this once before with the girl from Venezuela, and yes MALANDRO, I did give out her addy to one of the guys here....I think I still have some pics...Listen, while I want to help her, I want to make sure she meets a nice guy, so if you are interested, send me an email and I will get back with you....BTW, her name is Andrea.

Later,
Mike

Hello Mike, how are you? I took a look at your great wedding photos. Congratulations on your wedding. Good Health and Happiness to you and your newfound Bride. My name is Alvin, I am 40 years old, single, no children, and I live in Chicago. I having been reading the posts on this board for over a year now. I rarely comment, but I have followed your posts. I believe you know my boy Eddie who also just got married. I have been a fence sitter but on July 4th through July 9th I will take my first trip to Cartagena Colombia. I know just enough Spanish, to order food, ask a girl to dance or if she wants a drink. I know when someones B.S.ing me on the price and when to take a walk. I would be very interested if you could forward any of your left over women my way. I can send you my photos, and you can forward to any of your wifes friends, or to any women you know in Baranquilla. If you have any contact information for hotel or apartments in Cartagena I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you for your help. Keep us informed on your Visa process. God bless you and your family.

Peace....Hoda

Ok, now I am confused. It seems the "rules" herer are you can't be taken seriously unless ya register and have a "real" email address?

It seems exceptions are made if we like the person?

I have seen new posters get their posts answered with "register with a real email address, and we'll answer your questions".

Obviously Patricks rules do not state that one must be registered or he wouldn't allow anonymous postings.

He also allows people to use Yahoo, and hotmail acounts.

So who here decides who is allowed to post and who is not?

***It seems exceptions are made if we like the person?***

If he knows (likes as you put it) the person, then he's not anomymous now is he !!!!!!

Not to mention a litany of other things you left out that are typical of "Troll" behaviour...all of which you are intimately familiar...!!!

I wasn't talking only about Hoda. There are many people on this board that use the same "rules". Rules obviously not put in place by Patrick.

Heck, when you were bagged posting under Henry on LWL, your excuse was that acording to the FAQ, assuming another identity was allowed and why should you be held to a different set of rules etc etc etc.

Why should people here get held to different sets of rules?

Second of all, many people are shot down, before they realize they are violating some sacred "rules" and are driven away before any chance of getting to know them or "like" them.

Yes, valiant troll fighter, you drive away many trolls, but in your enthusiasm you make this place a place where many would rather lurk, than worry about being pounced on for not knowing the rules.

That my "friend" is why it is called Planet Houndog. BTW, LWL really misses you so please do not wait too long before you assume another name and join again.LOL

Having people willing to cut short some of the BS postings drives the undesirables away.

Also, I'm surprised you don't know that anon user is a sign of a typical troll but no one else made it a hard and fast rule.  Obviously, people have to think.

For some reason, if you look at the remarkable consistency in identifying and getting rid of the undesirable people that want to spread confusion and poison to people that use the forum for its legitimate purpose, the current system works exceptionally well.  Can you propose a better one?

The "concern" about driving posters away seems very unfounded.  I'd be quite surprised that anyone is afraid to post something legitimate here, and if they decide to only lurk, well, what requirement is there for them to post when they have nothing to say.  That might be something you want to consider.

However, if you identify with all of the "wounded lambs", you might consider what responsibility you have in your situation.  Don't think of yourself as a victim.

If one of your first posts was not liked, you would have been trashed because your profile has no email address.

Does that mean you have nothing to add?

As far as eliminating BS? You are kidding right? Most of the BS I read here is lon threads "fighting trolls". Do you think HounDog has posted here at least double the amount of anyone else?

Sorry, but when one posts over 700 times, the BS probability goes way up. Want to dig through the archives and count how many posts were useful and how many were "troll bashing"?

If there are trolls, ignore them, and they go away. They get off on how much attention they get.

You say, "If one of your first posts was not liked, you would have been trashed because your profile has no email address."

Ralph, here you go with the victim mentality again.  No one is going to victimize me about not listing my email.  If it was pointed out, as you did, why would it be so impossible to point out that it didn't have a bearing on the content of what I say.  Also, have you considered that posts can stand or fall based on merit?  It's a lot simpler theory than this grand conspiracy to "get" new posters.

Your theory on trolls is short sighted and lacking.  Maybe your motivation is to get attention, but you also need to look at some other motives.  Like control, or the satisfation of deceiving or "crushing" someone.  These other motive should be obvious.

Also, your animosity towards HounDog is pathetic.  Rather than apply your weaselish ways of taking numerous petty shots, why don't you say something to explain why you disagree.  Your very tone and approach and lack of content undermine what you say, not some other person.

Lacking the ability to accept personal responsibility and blaming others when you don't get your way, is something you seem unwilling to consider in yourself.  Hence the continuing frustration.

I'm quite certain that the chances of you actually comprehending and applying this information are about zero from your past performance.

This is so typical of the flaw in American culture where everyone is above average and it is harmful to point out a mistake so someone can correct it.  This bassackwards thinking has only contributed to the dumbing down of our society.

Yes, yes, some people are never at fault and are only defending themselves.  God forbid that they would actually have to be accountable for the decisions they make.

Also interesting that here's a guy that jumps on you every chance he gets for a cheap shot, and also says ignore the trolls and they will go away.  I guess that's talking out the @ss speak for make the setting where I can win.

I guess some kids never learned how to play at the sandbox.  (Yeah, yeah, HD, I know, when you were a kid you were so poor you had to break your own rocks for sand...  hehe)

Ralph,

If you're referring to my post to Latinlady, I just followed Patricks lead. She got shot down on her first post for obivious reasons. As for my man Roll, I've known him for sometime, & he even said, that he's been lurking for awhile. For me, me liking or disliking someone, has nothing at all to do with wether or not, I will reply. My beef is with guys who come out from the cracks, trashing the women of S.America & the guys who travel down there. The "only" enforcer here is Patrick. This is his house, everybody can post anonymous or not, everybody can be replied to anonymous or not.

Peace...Hoda

I agree, and wasn't speaking about your post to LatinLady. I totally understand Patrick not wanting agency owners promoting their agencies here. Doesn't want it to become spam central.

I understand that people can post anonymous or without "real" email addresses etc. I have seen many people post questions and get shot down for not having "real" emails or not being registered. I understand that every one has the right to decide who they will or will not respond to. I just think either just ignoring posts from people that don't meet your criteria is a better idea than people getting pounced on.

There is a reason people here lurk. If they do not get pounced on for the above, they sometimes rudely get directed to the archives.

Sometimes it is easy to forget what it is like to be a newbie. It is quite possible for someone to stumble upon this place and not even know there are archives, or that they will be considered a troll if they have a hotmail acount etc.

Many times I see people expend more time and effort to flame than to just answer the question.
