Norm's $35 a night pricing is a thing of the past. That price was, and was advertised as, a temporary rate to get guys in here to spread the word about the kind of service we provide. It was what you call a loss leader. From day one it said until May 31st. The new prices reflect reality.  For those of you who have not stayed here, please have the courtesy to hold off on your critisisms until the site is complete. Our membership fee includes unlimited introductions and translated email service, it's not just for the sake of a membership fee. I have also maintained the price at $50 a night for members. The number of girls you see on our website is going to grow substantially....... quickly. The site is not ready, and I only began to install it a little at a time because the credit card company has to approve their part by viewing the site online. I feel that $30 a month is a fair price for a translated email service. And that is available for guys with a girlfriend, who don't want the membership. That makes the membership $5.00 a month. We have come a long way in a very short period of time. Keep an eye on the site..... I think you'll be a lot less critical when it's finished...... Norm

... in response to Norm's Pricing, posted by Norm on May 22, 2001

I was one of the first guys to visit Norm when he opened up last December.    I can tell you that from my experience he is a stand up guy and I had no complaints.   As far as the pricing, it has always been a concern of Norm to be as fair as possible.   When I was there he was always open to suggestions and welcomed any ideas which I brought up.   Some of his newer "options" were only ideas months ago and now are becoming reality.   As far as how they are priced we all know that this is a business and the value of such can be perceived by various people in different ways.    In my travels I have frequented both the "Four Seasons" type of establishments and that of the "Motel 6".   They all have their purpose and "value" to each person accordingly.    When I decided to go to Cali (after lurking for 2 years)I was looking for a "Bed & Breakfast" type of surroundings which I did find at Norm's place.    There was great service, fantastic meals, and a true desire to satisfy the customer.   Maybe his place is not the type for everyone, no place ever is.   But, I can say that I feel that whoever does go down to visit and stays with Norm you will NOT be getting ripped off.   I highly recommend his service and will return someday soon.

... in response to Norm's Pricing, posted by Norm on May 22, 2001

I have stayed at Norm's place, returning to the states last Wednesday. I found the stay remarkable comfortable considering I live in New York State. The food was excellent, the service was excellent and a women names Diane  worked exceptionally hard to make appointments, then to re-schedule appointments. Of the 4 places I have stayed in Cali, I would rate Norm's as the most personable. Everyone, including Norm made a little extra effort to keep things running smoothly. Even the trips to the ATM machine, I would tell Norm I was going, he would say, hold on a second and I'll go with you. He knew where the closest one was, I just knew there was one in the local mall that worked.

I can compare Norm's pricing and service to other agencies as I stayed at both the Latin Love(Crystal Palace) and the Latin Internet last year. Maritza, who runs the Villa in Cali for the Latin Internet does a good job and knows the girls very well. I had no complaints. The Crystal Palace was a very bad experience and is not worth talking about. I understand that there are new owners taking over and they may be able to straighten the place out, I don't know. All I know for sure is I will never stay there again.

The last place was owned by a guy named Robert. It was actually a condo. It was built for A/C and had none. It was HOT.

Hope to see ya soon buddy....Hoda

If you are looking for an honest guy who will work hard for you than Norm's your guy.  I have met Norm on many occasions for different things we were working on and he was always honest with me.  Also I feel his prices are more than reasonable.  I don't think many of you realize what goes into running a full time agency along with a bed and breakfast.  It's alot of work and Norm isn't getting rich from this.  He does it because he wants to bring people together.  Everything I have ever read from guys who have used his services have been positive.  Anyone considering using an agency in Cali should do their homework because there are many choices.  Norm's is one good choice.

I am good.  I have been busy working on some things in Cali and here in the States.  Keith is also good.  I wanted to thank you for the support you gave us back in the Villa days.  We had one hell of a place there.  Next time you travel to Cali let me know maybe we can meet for a drink or something.  I'll be back in Cali soon ( my second home).  Hey Hoda that goes you for also, its been along time since I've seen you.  Time flys.

Since you & Keith have made Cali your second home, you better be there for our wedding. How long will you be in Cali? I'm trading in my O.T. for comp-time. Bosses like it when they don't have to pay you money...LOL!!!

Aaahhh Bob-cat, it has been many moons, since we've all hooked-up. I still have a few photo's of the crew from "back in the day"...

Hope to see ya "REAL" soon bro.....Hoda

... in response to Norm's Pricing, posted by Norm on May 22, 2001

Norm:
How are you?  Glad to see you posting this because I believe that many of your critics here have probably never been to Colombia.  I remember when we met in Cali last year that you said you would be offering introductory rates until the business got rolling.  And it appears that you are doing very well - congrats!!
For those of you that have not met Norm, he's a great guy & a good man to know in Colombia.  And to those of you that have been critical of him, give yourself the opportunity of either meeting him or talking to someone that actually knows him before you start trashing him & his business.  I can tell you from experience that his Introductory Prices were just that(temporary); his current prices are VERY REASONABLE when you compare them to his competitors' down there.  I know guys that have stayed at Norm's & they were very happy (one is there right now) -- he's an honest guy.  Believe me, you can do a whole lot worse, so please get some facts before you give your opinions.  And, no, I am not affiliated with Norm's agency in any way.  However, I would definitely stay at his place if visiting Cali again.

Introductory rates, modified prices to reflect different levels of service & service's...All part of doing BUSINESS!!
Great observation Dennis. Oh by the way, I met Storming Norman during our stay at the Palace, back in the day...LOL!
I have never stayed at his place, nor has he paid me for this post. Unless of course you consider the "quattro" he gave me to drink as a bribe...LOL!

Peace...Hoda

Hoda:
Yeah, when you operate your own business you relate VERY WELL to things like service, intro rates/offers, modified pricing, etc...all in the spirit of staying with (or better yet, in front of) the pack -- LOL.
