Has anyone completed this process for Colombia? I am mainly interested in how long it typically takes from start to finish (assuming all the paperwork is correct, etc.).

Glen,
You go with your wife to the American Embassy in Bogota. You can walk right in if you show your passport.Line up at the immigrant visa entrance(on the left) at 12.45 or so.( you will be close to the front of the line)They let you in at 1.00.Go to a podium around window 9 where a guy in a uniform will give you a number. Then go to windows 1-5 where they will call your number. They will take your papers, look them over, ask you a few questions, and give you imformation on getting her medical and blood test. She can the return a minimum of 14 days later(usually 10 working days)She needs to enter at 7.00 AM showing papers she will get at this first appointment. If you have everything they want.(that is another long story)she will get the visa that day and can leave that day.In my case, even though they didn't say anything at the first interview, they wanted additional orriginal documents because my wifes son was getting a visa also.I had to fly home and send them to her and she got the visa's 4 weeks after the first appointment.
