Hey ...David what are your thoughts about traveling to Cali, Bogota, and other places in Colombia as far as the civil unrest there?  Or is it a matter of, "All you have to fear is fear itself?"

I have no problems traveling to the larger cities. Honestly, the violence has been the same for decades. The 70's were even worse.  We see more news events than before because of the newspapers looking for stories. Don't get me wrong, Col. can be very dangerous but just think straight and go have fun.  I actually hope the news coverage increases, maybe it will keep the gringo flood from increasing. David

P.S.  If your concerned about safety just go to Cartegena. My parents were there last month on vacation and they are in their 70's. Party on Mom and Dad!

IMO don't waste your time.  I heard from a friend of mine in Cali that at one time the fee was as much as $5K.  I haven't looked at his site for a couple of months but the last time I did, I recognized one of my friends photos.  I thought to myself, that's strange she's been in Germany for at least two or three months and she's not coming back.  In the past she belonged to his old agency and so I would not be surprised if old agency girls photos appear in the new agency but with a premium price.   Anyway, I don't think there is anything exclusive about this agency but the price.

If you're considering Cali, consider going to Norm's or Latin Love.
