Rental Car in Butuan

CAN I RENT A CAR / VEHICLE IN BUTUAN CITY NOWADAYS?....I AM PLANNING TO USE THIS TO GO TO CAGAYAN DE ORO FOR A DAY OR TWO.

ANYONE PLEASE GIVE ME SOME INFO..

I don't think there is a Rental Car in Butuan City. You can hire a van or car to drive you to Cagayan de Oro but very expensive. The air conditioned bus are very nice and safe. And once in Cagayan de Oro, you can take taxi everywhere and it's very cheap... Have a nice trip.

Hi Tess,

My wife and I don't know of any rental cars in Butuan either. Her family usually hires a van or goes by aircon bus to CDO.

Try buying a motorcycle in the rainy season.  Keep the cycle with a relative and use it everytime you come back.  It will be interesting to see what my motorcylce looks like when I return to visit LOL.  I think maitanence is a foreign word.  But the bike has maintenace tickets to bring to the shop every so many miles.  Stop the van and car thing, your in motorcycle country.  4 sason air con and 150 miles per gallon gas.  Just whatch the sleeping dogs on the road.

Hi Peter,

We have a small Honda for local use. I'm thinking about buying a Jeepy or van. I'm not into carrying the whole family on one motorcycle. LOL

I heard a jeepy was around $5000 is that a good figure.  I did see a family of as much as 5 on a honda smiling as they zipped by without helmets in the rain dodging pot holes.  They must have known something we didn't coz they zipped by and we got stopped and Maricel was told to put her helmet on.  She always put that helmet on coz she don't want to get a tan.  But in the rain she took it off LOL.   Oh well

Hi Peter,

I've often seen 4-5 (6 several times) miraculously stuck on a motorcycle too, but it's too dangerous for my blood. Why do it if you don't have to? In the past year we have already given money to help a relative and a friend who had life threatening injuries obtained in two separate motorcycle crashes. Plus, what Filipina wants a tan? A jeepy (looks like a small jeep - not jeepney) or multicab doesn't cost that much more than a medium size motorcycle. Eventually, I would prefer a custom aircon Sarao jeepney (for private use), which does cost a bit more, but will probably last several human lifetimes. :oD I want aircon, because I've had 35 years of Miami heat and no longer consider it to be "exotic." I will probably be the only guy in the Philippines making my friends and relatives wear seatbelts and putting children in carseats. LOL
