Unless that was just a rumor, I heard he committed suicide. It must have been that Saturday Night Live episode that pushed poor Bob over the top. I sure miss Baghdad Bob's news conferences! He could lie almost as well as Clinton... CUMFL!

Hi Ray,

I just spoke with Baghdad Bob by satelite phone a few minutes ago and rest easy that he is fine! This is the text of our conversation:

DH - I heard you were dead.

BB - "Desperate Americans"

DH - Is it true?

BB - "They are becoming hysterical. This is the result of frustration. Let the American infidels bask in their illusion! Blood-sucking bastards"

DH - But this information came from a reliable source.

BB - "These cowards have no morals. They have no shame about lying. They do not even have control over themselves! Do not believe them!"

DH - We recieved information that you had committed suicide from al-Jazeera.

BB - "Just look carefully, I only want you to look carefully. Do not repeat the lies of liars. Do not become like them. Once again, I blame al-Jazeera before it ascertains what takes place. Please, make sure of what you say and do not play such a role."

DH - Well it sure does sound like your voice Baghdad Bob.

BB - "I can say, and I am responsible for what I am saying, that they have started to commit suicide under the walls of Baghdad."

DH - So you are saying that it is the coalition forces that have committed suicide?

BB - "Be assured. Our initial assessment is that they will all die"

DH - Then, what is your take on these false rumors of your untimely demise?

BB - "I blame Al-Jazeera - they are marketing for the Americans! Do not in fact repeat their lies."

DH -  Thanks Baghdad Bob! I was really worried about your safety! Are you scared?

BB - "No I am not scared, and neither should you be!"

DH -  Goodbye Baghdad Bob.

BB - "Don't believe anything! I triple guarantee you everything is okay."

DH - Thanks!

Oil sounds like a very good reason to me. Thats what the French wanted. Now we have to figure out how we are going to keep it, after we already agreed to give the profits to the Iraqi people.
