Hi Greg:
You said you'd like to hear "my" story. There's really no a lot to it I suppose. I need to limit details because my wife is a private person and wouldn't approve of me "blabbing" about our private life. Plus she doesn't like this forum too much since we tried to help someone on this board (a while back) and the person was nasty after he disagreed with our advice. Anyway, my wife and I met three years ago in Odessa. Odessa isn't too far since I live/work in Hungary. No - we didn't meet through an agency... never used one.
She was the only girl I ever seriously corresponded with; and, after we met I went back to Odessa several times. Back in Sept. 2000 we took a long vacation together to Warsaw, Prague and Budapest. Five months after that, Lena moved to Hungary to be with me. We lived together for almost a year, got two cats - Billy and Masha. [Billy died - BUMMER - bladder stones twice... kidneys failed... shame because he was an angel... personality like a dog not a cat. We just bought two new purebred kittens in Odessa. The apartment is full to capacity.]
We were married a year ago today. I have ZERO regrets. Lena is a loving wife and always dotes on me, she's a good cook, always watches my health. There's nothing she won't do for me. She definitely has my love and respect. Eventually we'll move back to the USA. She'd rather stay in Odessa... or if not there then somewhere in Europe - a cultural thing more than anything else. But USA it will be, (she'll follow her "vreednee zites" anywhere because she loves me
) . The USA will be good for her in the long run. She'll go to school to be an RN and I'll work in electronics/IT/whatever.
I don't know how I got to be so lucky in finding her. Some people just win the lottery. I did... no money... just a loving wife. That's all I really need anyway. I remember reading JohnK and KenC's posts after they were married and thinking how lucky they were. ME TOO now! Life is good!
That's about all I can think of. Gotta go... and call my darling wife. She's in Odessa... planned to be back today for our anniversary... life didn't cooperate... OK Monday she gets back!!! :-)
