AFA still using my video

It is pretty funny but I went on the AFA website today to look for some addresses.  Anyway, there I was on video (November 1999) from St. Petersburg talking about what a good time I was having / recommending AFA.  Sure I had a good time - but time and experience have taught me that tours are not the best way for me to find a wife.

I have read that tours are the best way but I have no first hand knowledge. From your experience what do you recommend as the best way? Thanks for the info.

Tour socials are like going to a singles bar and randomly meeting women.  I think it is a waste of your time unless you are nervous about going to the foreign country or want the comraderie of talking to other guys doing the same thing you're doing.  If you're selective, pick a bunch of girls you like and start writing them.  Keep going until you get down to a few girls where there seems to be a mutual interest, then go meet those women.  Jack (on this board) has private tours to Ukraine/Russia which is a pretty good option but you can arrange with local agencies to get some help.  I think that going to Columbia or Peru presents some special risks which may favor a tour a little more in your case.

I went to the EC tour in St Pete in Oct 1999.  We were pretty brave (or stupid) with all the terrorism at the time.  More than half the men cancelled out and the girls were pissed off to find only 25 men or so show up instead of the 60 promised.  I guess you missed the seeing fountains at Catherine's Summer Palace.  They were still on while I was there.
