Geez, its been a long time since I've made a visit to this board.  Lots of the same names I see still posting.  Guess I'll have to go through the archives to catch up on what's been happening with a lot of the "old" timers (not age related).

Most of you remember tootsie (Tatyana)?  Well she came and visited back in April and we got married last July.  Everything going well (99% of the time, lol) Smiley.

Anyone hear from LP or has he lived up to his claim of not posting here anymore?

Okay, all for now as I have reading to do to see what's been happening with the planet love (probably same 'ol trolls hanging around).

DE

PS- hey Rags, we need to get together again here in the near future.  Catch up on you and your wife's trip back to Kiev and all!

LP hangs out on occasion, I was just talkin to him today. He's doin well, happy as a clam. (lol, a nice guy is he.) He said he was leaving once and actually did for a few months while he dealt with his own FSU situation.

Came back he did. But after reading DSD's tribulations, the responses to it, and recent posts regarding age differences, he needs a rest from this group of characters. He knows about your union to the fair Tootsie as she wrote to him shortly after the deed was done. He sends his congrats. He said if you're a good match for her, you must be quite a character yourself. He wishes you both the best and asks you say hello to Tatyana for him.

Also mumbled sumthin about selling death over the Internet, whatever that means. ;-)

Another troll attack by DavidSD/et al and the usual #@$.

Congratulations on your marriage (and if you are hitting the 99 percentile your doing quite well).

We'll have to hook up some time so you can see my daughter's new teeth. We just went through two days at the dentist.

Day One was a root canal for V to remedy a half baked job done in Kyiv. It took two and a half hours (normally it take about an hour) to repair the damage done by her dentist. She was quite impressed with the care given over here which was good because the second day was Dasha's turn.

We opted to have Dasha put under general anesthesia as she had been so traumatized in Kyiv by dental work. (I found out that not only do they rely on serious restraint to get work done, they don't even give Novocain unless they are going to extract a tooth. Man, can you imagine getting a cavity filled like that?)

Everything went well and they got some twelve (out of twenty) teeth refilled/rebuilt in a little over three hours. Dental work $2200, general anesthesia (not covered by insurance) $1400, seeing my baby girl's perfect smile...PRICELESS!

Hopefully I'll get some free time after the holidays and we can get together. Give our best to your wife.

Hey Rags,

My wife has been to the dentist 4 times already in the last 2 months. She has had all of her fillings redone+5 more and added 2 new root canals, one old root canal is going to be re-done because it has decay around it. She is scheduled for 7 crowns and needs to wait untill next year before the insurance will pay for them.

She thought it was strange she needed so much work done, she went to her dentist in Moscow before her k-1 visa and was told she was good, no problems.....

She agrees with you about the lack of anasthetic...the only time she was given novacaine is when she had the root canals. Her son never had it before either, our dentist here is suprised how much pain he has had to endure. He had 4 baby teeth pulled in Russia without anasthetic, strapped into a chair. Here he had 2 baby teeth pulled because they needed root canals...but they were going to fall out soon anyway.

This ties in with what I saying above.

Only last year during one of my wifes visits to Kiev, she decided to try and save us a few quid by having some dental work carried out. This dentist decided that she needed some special "treatment" that consisted of (as far as I can gather) having a small amount of medicine placed on a small metal disc with wires that was placed on her tongue.

I guess this was some kind of electro-magnetic treatment! My advice to anybody thinking of trying to save money by having dental treatment over there is don't bother.
