philb what you write about your recent experience makes sense, to me anyway.

i used the wovo approach.  i am also more cognizant of its pitfalls. the main one being that this can easily develop into a forced fit. in other words i came all of this way to see one so i better make damn sure it works.

phil my questions. did you write many other ladies before you fell for this one. can you say what it was about her that made you fall for her and her alone.

I guess the method I used would be more properly called "The Write Many, Narrow It Down to One Method".  I started by responding to personal ads and by placing my own personal ad on a Russian web site.  Tatyana responded to my personal ad.  I think that initially I was exchanging letters with about 12 ladies.  Within about 2 months I had narrowed this down to 2.  I continued to write both Tatyana and the other lady until after Tatyana and I had met for the first time.

I did not fall for Tatyana via letter writing.  But what i did discover was that we shared some common interests and more importantly when I asked her questions the answers she gave were the answers I wanted to hear (religion, views on family, relationships, etc..). She was not the most beautiful woman I wrote to.  But, I think we were a good match in that regards.  She also was the youngest of any women I wrote to (8 years younger).  But, our out look on life seemed to match.
