Question Again...Can't seem to get a clear answer from any airline or visa company with all these continuing changes and requirements...

My friend is leaving for Kyrgyzstan booked "from" New York "roundtrip" and has a 6 hour layover in Russia to connect on to Kyrgyzstan from Moscow.
He is flying Delta from N.Y. and Delta has an agreement with Aeroflot  to get him to Kyrgyzstan (1 changeover).

MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION...
Does he have to obtain a Russian visa "also in addition to his Kyrgyz tourist visa" (possibly double-entry) in order to arrive to Shemtvo-2 amd shuttle to Shermtvo-1 for his same day connecting flight from N.Y to Kyrgyzstan Huh

I believe you would be issued a "transit" visa by the airline, but you should ask the airline direct. I am sure Delta knows.

Rick,

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the actual airlines involved would be the best source for this info.
