I am excited about my second trip over to the FSU area.  I will be flying into Moscow and when I get off the plane my friend of 6 months will be waiting for me.  She had gotten the approval off from work and is training someone to cover for her.  She has purchases our tickets to and from Moscow to Togliatti, secured an apartment from me, has a plan for what she would like to show me, a time to meet with her family everything is set.  We have written over 256 letters between us in six months.  I have never gotten any red flags, we have talked on the phone, sent letter to each other over the mail.  I sent flowers to her work and got pictures taken with her holding the roses.  We have an interpreter reserved for when I meet with the family.  She has paid for all in-country travel with her own money (I said I would send her money but she refused) she spent her own money for all details stated, she seem to have plenty as she herself as mentioned.  I guess all that is necessary now is the meeting.  We are both excited and I have been working so hard; I am ready for a relaxing time in Russia and if I know her correctly I am sure that I will be treated like a king.  As I have stated before this is a complete 180 from my first trip to the FSU area.  I think that if I crash and burn this time then I will with no problem be educated enough to make my third trip over more rewarding if need be.  (I will never stop trying)  I am in no hurry to get married but that is the goal here.  All I can say is time will tell I’ll keep you posted.  As you know I have no shame in telling you all my mistakes that I have made in the past.  This board is for my education and yours…

Ryan,

You seem like a nice fellow.  I'm sure everyone who has read what you did before is pulling for you now, and everyone is wishing you well.  Slowly....Slowly

Best of Luck!!!

Hey Ryan,

This lady is a lot different then the first one you met in Lugansk. Did you ever say the date of your second trip here?

Good luck to you Ryan, will be looking for your trip report.

No I never said a date here.  I just don't feel right putting dates on the Internet as you never know you could get setup by some Russian Mafia or some crazzy thing...  No one should ever put a date for travel here just ask for advice and so on...

Thanks I will post the trip report you can count on it.....

sent me like 2 letters in a 6 month time frame.  Though she could write english, she could vaguely talk it when she wanted to.

Sounds like your darn near married.

I don't know about you guys, but must be the time of the month or the fact that I got a cold.  The idea of getting hitch seems like one big ole burden, I like my single life.

I guess it'll change when I get older.
