Looking for a travel agency that can possibly advise me. Would like to send my UW to Dominican Republic (they don't need a visa to go there, and it's warm!), and am interested in some cheap flight/package trip to get her there. Thanks!!

It is a link to the Travel agency at the Hotel Lybid in Kyiv. There was a lady there I was friends with for a while, but I don't think she is still working there (Maria). In any case, they should be able to answer your questions.

Ricky G,

Use the search engine to back up and find an earlier post of mine.  You're not the first guy to get this "light bulb" idea... but you'll probably come to the same conclusion.  You think this is a great idea because spending time in the FSU can be devoid of western enjoyments like heat in the winter & drinkable water.  A flight to the side may seem appealing due to the lack of BS paper shuffling and a lack of people who can't speak our language.  But, you're gonna find it to be the most expensive dates you've ever had - other than your flight, (which will be cheap) you'll find BIG costs in getting your lady there, & winter rates (highest) for lodging, eating and entertainment.  I'd easily peg a 1 week trip at close to 5 g's.  When I had this same idea (only it was Jamaica from Oregon, I found my flight was $6-700 - her's was around $3,700 from Moscow + another $200 round trip from Volgograd -- capish?...  Besides, I don't think doing a vacation/resort thing is the best way to get to know a lady (are you gonna be living that way?).  Bottom line is that since it's semi-impossible for her to visit you and your lifestyle, you are left with going to Russia which can be less than enjoyable.  My advise to you is after you have explored all the painless, cheap, and easy options, and found them to be unworkable, go sit on a stump and think a while (that's what we do in Oregon!) -- think about whether a Russian Bride is really worth it to you.  I have made my deciscion but that should not effect yours.  You should be prepared for things not to be easy, not to be cheap, and not to be risk free - capish?  This is NOT a free ride, dude.

Does that help?

Bob, everything you say is 100% true. I have been going to FSU since 1992, and have advised MANY people, and your words ring true. However, I am still looking for a good travel agency, as I have spent many weeks with her on multiple trips in her city, and would just like to have some "warm" time with her in January. But I appreciate your post, it's generally good advice.

Rick,  I hear ya.  2 trips for a total of 5 weeks was enough Volgograd for me!  I share your desire to seek some warmth in January!  If you find some way, some place, at a reasonable cost, please let me know as I may try it next time.
