Has anyone used skyauction.com for airline tickets? Is it legit? any bad or good experiences?  Airfares seemed to have spiked recently.  Does anyone know if fares typically start dropping at a partciular date each year?  I'm looking to travel late december return early january, to kiev.

... in response to airline tickets, posted by Gman on Oct 2, 2002

I just bought a ticket leaving on NOvember 5th to Kiev from Houston. I WAS going to go on October 15 but my travel agent said if I waited till November 1st I would pay around $574 instead of $995. I said 2 more weeks & 2 more paychecks no prob! Look into it However I don't know if they will jive with your time frame of late Dec early January.

... in response to KLM has a special starting November 1st, posted by Frank O on Oct 3, 2002

I was getting best prices from NWA/KLM on the NWA website, but thay have been spiking upward lately.  I saw as low as $560, with 2 connections, but now it's up to $770 range. My intended dates should be during the low season, but rates don't appear to be for low season. Thanx, i'll keep my eye out.
